I got the oven on Lynnie, oven fried chicken, baked pot. and green beans.
Baked choc. chip cookies, sugar cookie dough in frig working on the snickerdoodles.

Freezing rain outside and Mrs claus is laying down think she got run over by a reindeer!!

I am not leaving the house, porch is slick and I know what would happen...I would probably slide all the way to Dixie"s.

it doesn't matter anymore, they're all in the trash...I will be off line for awhile and I do NOT know when or if I will be able to be back on any time in the future. I am glad I got to meet you all.

All you Yanks better get ready. Looks like the snow is fixing to wrap you up. We got a big rain today but missed the high winds, lightening and tornados predicted. High in the 70's today. Back to the upper 20's tomorrow night. Looks like I'm fixing to tied up day and night until after the first of the year. I've got 2 preaching assignments this month and 2 weddings, a trip to minister in the women's prison in addition to the regular stuff. My daughter and family will be in Christmas Eve for about 10 days if they don't get snowed in. Merry Christmas to all of you. Take time to remember the reason for the season.

Hi Jim....were doing the dog paddle down here too! JJ's come on down! You are all ways welcome....even if you are slippin and slidein and possibly carrying a cast or two....we have a pretty good trauma unit in the hospital! Grin..

I dixie. The rivers in our area were just now starting down. All this rain, especially if they get it in Arkansas will put them right back up.

You girls would be proud of me, I helped Jo clean all the shelves in the living room. They cover one whole wall from ceiling to floor. Took down a whole plastic storage box full of bottles and collectibles to move to the store. Washed all our collection of dishes, McCoy, candlewick and others. Couldn't believe Jo wanted to take down a bunch of stuff but it made it real nice to display the dishes. And yes I collect dishes, I love them. We had to stop because we ran out of room. Candle wick is my favorite followed by McCoy Cookie Jars.

My house next Jim, no collectibles just junk...grin...

If anyone wanted the Almond Joy/ Mounds bar recipe here it is

4 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 lb cocunut
1 1/2 stick margerine soft but not melted
1 can Eagle brand sweet condensed milk

Cream all ingredients together
spread in 9 x 13 pan to set ( refrigerate works best)

cut in squares and dip in chocolate add almond to top if you want
You can also roll into balls instead of using pan( makes a big batch)

Love McCoy dishes Jim...like diamonds...the longer you have them the more they appreciate in value. Since you are in the cleaning mood I gotta a few cabinets in the kitchen......Grin- We keep snorkels on stand by have plenty will send a couple to you and dear wife.......Venice, yes I did notice. I dont know what to say......

oh I have snorkels too if anybody needs some! I haven't used them in quite a while.
Dixie I got flippers too, so I can keep up with the Poo's in the water ;)

Thanks JJ's got the recepie and will use it. I'm all for something thats quick and good as well. Since I'll be doing most of the cooking for Christmas dinner.

Joy, Nice picture and yes, that scene sure does look very similar. I share the same admiration for nature and animal's as you do and basically live for it;-) I can not handle being in-door's for very long. Have you lived in the UK all your life?

LOL JJ's on the china...I know what ya mean. Lynnie, Gerttie Poo has a feather boa that she looks quite the diva. The othe female Poo's get quite jealous when she wears it.

I have a few pieces of McCoy...an elderly neighbor gave me a plant in a large old cookie jar...she didn't know where the top went, but her husband drilled a drain hole in the bottom....it was a real McCoy....that is my luck....grin
