Ground Cherries - have you grown in pots?

Anxious to try this plant next spring and curious if anyone has grown it in a big pot as opposed to being planted in ground?

Any experiences you can relate regarding this plant will be most appreicated.

We are in zone 7B also, and my MIL just planted them in the ground. She made the BEST jam in the world from them! I have not heard of them being grown in a pot tho.
