I'm not even sure if I am doing this messaging properly, but here goes. I am basically a novice gardener and have a large backyard with a wall that I need to dress up a bit. I have put in the decorative varigated grasses along part of the wall and at intersections I have planted dappling willows. The guy who does my lawn really did a number of them as he sped by on his mower. Needless to say I was upset and he didn't get his second cheque for the damage he did. Soooo I am desperately hoping they will come back nicely in the spring. I kinda sorta tied them up a bit for the tons of snow we get here in Montreal. Anyway fingers crossed....
Any info on the dappling willows will help or point me in a direction to get it.
Much appreciated. Happy holidays to all.

Hi Mickey,
I've moved your thread over here in the Beginning Gardening Forum. We have a great number of experienced gardeners who will be delighted to assist you.
Hey all, let's welcome Mickey to DG and lend a hand.
Hi Mickey, welcome to DG! Can you post a picture showing the damage to the willows? It is often hard to say whether plants will recover from damage like that or not, but if you can show a picture someone may know whether they've got a good chance or if it's unlikely that they'd recover.
Here's the Plant Files entry for the dappled willow: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/56310/ If you read the comments that people wrote, it seems that they frequently get a LOT bigger than the plant tags said they would so you might want to make sure that they'll still fit where you have them if they get bigger than they're supposed to.
Hi Mickey. You are gonna love Dave's Garden. Glad you are here.
Here is a little extra info for you on your willows.

Hi Mickey welcome! We love pics do you have a digital camera?
I'm also a newbie, the more I learn from these fine folks here the more inept I feel lol
I love those dappled willows, too, I was thinking of getting one because I have lots of space for it, but I haven't got to that section of yard yet.
