Where is the largest seed rack store in US? In UK?

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil(Zone 12a)

Hi, I am curious to know the places of the largest seed racks (flowers, vegetables, fruits, all!) in the world where you can go and buy may be thousands of different varieties of seeds?

I guess that the largest stores with seeds must be in USA and/or UK.

I know that "Seeds Savers Exchange" (IO) and "Heirloon Seeds" (MO) have large seed racks, but I am pretty sure must be largest one around.

Any suggestions?

TIA

Many thanks, but no, these are ONLY mail orders companies, most of them dont even have an store with large seeds racks where you can go and buy seeds.

If you're looking for a place that sells thousands of varieties of seeds, mail order is really your best bet (plus since you're in Brazil it seems that would be your best bet anyway). Most nurseries and places like Walmart, Home Depot, etc will stock some seeds during the times of year when people are buying seeds, but you'll find a better selection and larger number of different types of seeds from mail order companies.

Hi Ecrane 3, thanks for your reply. I know all about mail orders companies, I am just curious to know where is the largest place in the world where you can go in person and buy packets of seeds. The 2 I mentioned have a very large inventory (Wall Mart and Home Depot are just a shame!!) but I am pretty sure it must exist a place with more available seeds, may be in UK not in USA.

Best Regards

Here is one of the largest "Heirloom" suppliers:

To locate a single location that you can visit which carries a very large assortment of seeds may require that you go to the producers' place of business and be prepared to buy bulk.
There is no store that you can go to that provides a larger selection than mail order businesses.

If you want access to a huge seed list (>4000 species), your best bet is to join the North American Rock Garden Society (NARGS). The Scottish Rock Garden Society (SRGC) is a close runner up.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

These folks say their store is the 4th largest seed store in the world...
