You should see her 'can't feel my legs' routine when we kick her off bed to go to sleep!
The Hart-cure...
Andre is as bad. If it is raining there is no way his is going out by his self I have to go out with him.
And this is the same dog that likes to play in water.
LOL - Izzy was horrible - she would stand there and be "statue-dog" - Bandit is really good, he doesn't care if it's rain, snow or sunshine - there's a treat coming afterwards and I think he'd run through fire for a treat ^_^
Samson is improving every day - we have figured out he's a really smart dog, one correction and he pretty much remembers what he's 'sposed to do - already walks beautifully on a leash - no accidents in the house for 2 days straight...he does remind me of Marmaduke when he comes barreling inside, all legs and leaping happily up the stairs (yeah, huge changes in a week ^-^)
Yeah wren, whats up with that? very selective water tolerance!
lol the marmaduke act!! If already walks well on leash = smart then Addy is a box O rocks. Sheesh. No, its her herding will, she always wants to be first and keep us all in a group.
My goodness Wren, he is a beauty. He's wearing a pretty heavy coat for Fla.
Sally, I get such a kick out of your descriptions of Addy's antics. I like that, her Marmaduke routine. I can just picture it.
Yeah, no wonder Andre likes the pool!
Samson is the real deal Marmaduke! Was the original Marmaduke supposed to be a great dane? Speakign of which, where's wrightie and Zeb these days?
He looks like he just made a good joke in the pool picture
!!! cute face! What a happy dog!
I picked up a rooster-toy for Samson yesterday and he loved it, we had a serious "Marmaduke-moment" - he was barreling through the house, tossing it in the air and slamming into the kitchen cabinets - all legs ^_^ I'm just so happy he doesn't toss his kong in the air like that....he actually let me sleep in this morning, or maybe it's me managing to ignore his whining and crying at 5.30 AM ^_^ You know the "if you ignore it long enough it'll go back to sleep"-part ^_^
I need to wrap presents - this oughta be interesting, me, presents, paper, ribbons and Samson on the floor....
Please have the camera handy- has to make great pictures. I can just see bows on Samson's various body parts.
LOL - he was good as gold, except trying to eat some of the presents ^_^
The crate just arrived! This means a fun time trying to convince him to go in it and also us being able to leave the house! Wuhuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Good Luck!!
Yeah - crate set up, thing takes up a 1/4 of the bedroom, with his new blanket, his booboo and "no way am I going IN that"! We tried coaxing, we tried throwing his booboo inside it, nah, he just looked at it and ran into the bathroom - I'm like "fine then, I'll crawl in it first" - so I did...Bandit joined me and booboo, and wouldn't you know it - Samson got brave and promptly walked in and laid down on my lap ^_^
LOL, Now we should have gotten to see a photo of that!!
No kidding, Stormy! A must see photo. LOL
Y'all know there is a good reason DH does not know how to use my camera ^_^
Curses. Foiled again.
Boy am I slow - missed this thread and have a lot of catching up to do! Becky, Samson's one handsome dude! I'm LMAO with your descriptions of Samson's antics and the Marmaduke reference gives me a perfect visual of the chaos in your house right now :)
Sally, LOVE the picture of Addy with your cat! Lucy has FINALLY settled down a little and instead of chasing Lucky at every opportunity now calmly lays on the floor - face to face and places her paw on Lucky's head trying to play :) It's really sweet but poor Lucy, when Lucky turns into what we call *shi++y* kitty, Lucy just sits there looking at me with that "What did I do wrong?" look while Lucky is ferociously attacking her!
Wren, Andre's a beauty! The photo of him in the pool looks just like Lucy in her pool! I can't believe I didn't get any pics of her in it this summer but there's always next year. Unfortunately when I emptied it in October, she discovered the small 15 gallon pool I put in my new garden this past spring was useful for more than a quick drink and promptly plops herself in and curls up - going to be trouble for the Ferns and Hostas planted around it next spring :(
I love the photo of Andre laughing. It looks like an evil cackle. ("Ah hah haaaaaaaaaah!")
That's so cute about Lucy taking over the pond. You may have to move those ferns and hostas, Deb.
So long as he doesn't accuse you of throwing like a girl. LOL
LOL Wren, he really is a good looking guy!
do you want him--right now he is in the dog house. He is being a brat today. I need to find something to keep him busy
Oh I'd love to, but I just couldn't give him the love and attention he would need. I live vicarously through all of the DG pets.
He cracks me up. He reminds me of photos of those socialites wearing their mink coats in Palm Beach.
Just back from running him for 2 miles. I was on a bike.
Tervs do not need a lot of grooming. I have start taking him to the groomers once a month. Rarely do they need a bath. Now excesses and keeping that intelligent brain busy is the problem. But I can not complain to much as My tervs over the years and one dobe before them have keep me walking. A doctor told be once that I would be in a wheelchair in 10 years that was almost 30 years ago and I am still able to walk, thought right now do to a bad case of tendinitis in an ankle I am limping.
OMG - Samson has been a perfect horror this morning - he woke up at 4 AM and started his normal crying, I took him outside and he was totally full of energy and "Marmaduke-bounce" - went back to bed and he was having none of that - he wanted to be up and so should everyone else around him! Tried letting him meander the bedroom - nah, daddy ended getting up - he was barreling all over the house, digging in the backyard, found a stick and ran around with it, didn't want to come inside - jumped on the AC unit - and was having all kinds of fun - daddy went to work so he was back in the bedroom, not crated this time, he woke me up at 7, 8 & 9 AM - I got up when I couldn't stand it any longer...there was stuff ALL over the floor - he'd found a pack of socks and spread them everywhere - I didn't find any holes in the socks, I'm hoping he only ate the packaging :) and now...he's sleeping right next to the chair. I'm exhausted & he's pretending to be an angel...
The fall-out from having Samson - Bandit has all of a sudden become the mature adult dog I knew he had in him, JB, my oldest kitty has decided he needs to be a total PIA and demands even more attention than ever - he refuses to use the water bowls now (can't say I blame him) so he has to have his own cup with filtered water and ice & literally screams at me if it's not refreshed every few hours...he also just discovered the faucet - so I'll fix his demanding little butt, I'm getting them a pet water fountain! Just got a 25% in-store cupon from Petco - Gramma will also send gift-cards for the kids ^_^ Oh, and did I mention I have more work than ever...
Here's two more printable in store ones good until 12/31 for $5 off $25 and $10 off $50

Don't you just hate that draggy feeling all day after a rough night like that?
Thanks - I appreciate all the coupons we can get :) Since they got a new manager at our Petco I prefer them to Petsmart...
And yes, I'm dragging right now - not enough coffee in the world ^_^ We ARE however going out this evening - DH and I have always had date-nite on Friday - last week we were stuck in the house all weekend due to bucket-head and I need a 'time out from the kids'....
too funny. I do feel for ya! Hubby has never tolerated animals in the bed, tho I like a nice kitty on nights like this. And Addy has never learned to sleep on the floor BY the bed. It s ON the bed --or out the door!
LOL - nope, no sleeping on the bed for Buckethead - he's much, much too big for that - king size bed or not - Bandit and the cats sleeps on the bed, but they are small - heck, Thor weighs more than Bandit - he's also not allowed on the furniture, a dog that will clock in at over 200 lbs...nope, don't think so (I know, I know...I'm a horrible person) ^_^
Will he really get that heavy?
Absolutely - his mom is 180 lbs, a male can reach well over 200 lbs (210/220)
He was close to 90 when we got him and I know he's gained with all the good foods he's been eating - so I'm guessing around 95 now ^_^
My sister has a combo Yellow Lab/Golden Retriever. She is full grown now and has to stand up and "hug" us whenever we visit. I used to have to stand behind my mom, so she wouldn't be knocked over. But I don't think she is close to that many pounds.
LOL - he doesn't jump and hug, no way on thataone either ^_^
