Margaret, I was using my Canon XTi with the 70-300mm lens.
Nanny, your Blue Jays are sure colorful birds. Cute wp photo too!!
GP beautiful one of the dove. The hawk, tv, and the colorful cardinals and buntings-great variety.
Burd, glad you can enjoy the goldfinches. Cute chickadee and sparrow too. Wow, that's a big flock of starlings!
Tiger, congrats on that gorgeous photo of the kinglet!
Margaret, that wagtail just wanted some equal time with your camera!
How about more of our White Pelicans that I caught on Thanksgiving..
DAILY PICS VOL. 262
Cute GP! Please show them the map so they can start my way!!
Who wouldn't love a bath in that adorable birdbath? Awesome pics of the Pelicans.
I,m really not liking Squirrel's today. lol They are testing my wits and broke one of my feeder's making it useless, they figured out that if a couple of them go to the end of this one branch, their weight bends the limb enough for a good jump to the feeding station. What little pains. New strategy is in the work's on my end. lol
Oh but look at that crown!!!!
Nice one dirt!!
Great photos everyone!!
that is just not fair duc!! lol
Oh duc the photos are beautiful! Your so lucky to have such a good variety!
WOW, I've been in Austin, Tx for the week of Thanksgiving and you all covered me up.

Nanny, glad you're seeing the flickers at your suet feeder. How far from your home is your feeder? Maybe that's why my flickers won't come to mine-because it's pretty close.
Dave, picture perfect bluebirds. Nice job.
Reddirt, cute geese!
Finally caught one of the Ruby crowned Kinglet! There were a few here early this morning and I must have taken at least a hundred photos-most went into never never land!

ducbucln, the variey of birds you see makes me envious. Great photos.
Your Lesser GF has a black cap. Is that what separates Lesser from American? I've been wondering about that.

Gee duc, not sure but I would guess maybe in the 35 ft. range from the house. Not really to far since I can easily photograph it. But they do seem to be shy and if they see movement they are gone! They typically only come to it when it is really cold and the last 2 mornings we have been down into the 20's. Same is predicted for tonight...23 right now.
Our male Red-bellied Woodpecker again
Great Photo's Everyone! Thinking I got the Squirrel situation under control (yeah right), only had time to fill feeders today and get 2 shots. A Red-breasted Nuthatch showed me the suet log was nearly empty, I went outside and he was sitting on top of the suet log, walked to my truck he didn't budge but kept looking at me (ok) so far, went out front and grabbed the mail (couple minutes) went to go back in the house and he's still there just looking at me and not feeding (wondering if he got stuck or something) slowly walked up to the log (still not moving just looking) I,m only 2 feet away, and as any one would do I started to ask questions, looked at the suet log and seen all the wholes were near dry. Yup that's my story and I,m sticking to it. lol
Downy first to get the fresh suet.
LOL Burd! I can't imagine my little red-breasted nuthatch sitting still for ANY amount of time. I haven't seen her at the suet at all though, she's hooked on the peanuts.
Duc, do you live right on the lake? I'm wondering if the water is what draws all those birds into the area.
Congrats on the flicker nanny. I haven't seen one in ages.
super cold and dreary here. After such a warm November, December has brought us back to reality.
Here's a Brown Creeper… and yes, that's SNOW.
