DAILY PICS VOL. 262

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

Tiger, sorry for the mistake, I guess I should read messages closer.

Met, great photos of the titmouse and wren.

Burn, cute goldfinch, crows, doves and chickadee. You can keep the snow though, sure looks cold there.

Margaret, your wagtails sure can be tough little guys. Love that kookaburra! It sure looks like it's smiling at the wagtail in that second shot.

Burd, love that wp and the crows.

Rose, your little sparrow is just beautiful.

Our Bald Eagles seem to be more active now, but they still aren't coming close enough to me.

This adult landed in a tree below our house and I had to make lots of noise for him to even look up at me. I think he was probably looking for food on the lake.

Here's some of our White Pelicans. We love seeing them fly just above the water.

I always wonder if their wings ever hit the water and now I know.

This White-crowned Sparrow was waiting for a turn at the peanuts.

These Yellow-rumped Warblers move so quickly that it's hard to get a good photo.

Wow, Duc. Be sure to put that second white pelican shot into your file for next year's photo contest!

Marlton, NJ

Beautiful shots duc! The White-crowned Sparrow looks like he has a gold beak. The Pelicans and Eagles are great!

Sandusky, OH

I should (reverse jinx) myself more often, the Black-Caps and R-b Nuthatches were here this morning. So to keep with this weird theory, geee I haven't seen my Pileated or Snowy Owl in weeks lol. Nice shot Dellrose, Duc nice shots! Really like your first Pelican shot!

South Hamilton, MA

Saw a red tail hawk sitting on the telephone wires on the way to a shopping trip. don't have a good type camera for that type of pictures, but enjoy everyones.

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

Nice ones Duc...I just love the Pelicans! They are such awesome birds to watch but we only see them during migration and if we are lucky enough to be at the lake when they are there.

Iris...I am always amazed when I see a Hawk perched...they look so much bigger than I expect. This one landed on a far away tree while I was at the brush pile one day. He had a meal in his foot...hopefully a field mouse.

One of our many White-breasted Nuthatches at the peanut feeder. There is one that is really aggressive and chases all the other birds away!

Thank you for your kind comments on the Harris' Sparrow...they were still there this morning.

Rose, beautiful photos, all of them, but Harris Sparrow is just gorgeous!

PERTH, Australia

Beautiful photos, Rose. The Harris' Sparrow is really something special.

duc, the pelican shot is really nice. What equipment are you using?

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

My gosh ...great pics everybody!

While out driving doing some shopping the last couple of days I have seen so many Red-tailed Hawks and even a couple of American Kestrels! Wish I would have had my camera with me!

We had a sunny day today but with so much to do not much birding time. So it what ever comes to me here in the yard. Of course rain is coming tomorrow....

Not too much time for pics today and it was a clear blue sky today. But I got a couple.

Goldfinch's showed up today, haven't seen them in a couple month's.

I am always amazed at the shots on this forum. We have some wonderful photographers here. Thank you all for sharing.

I only saw one Gold-crowned Kinglet today, but was thrilled it actually sat still for a brief moment, and in good light too!

Very nice shot Tiger you did well with that Kinglet!

Marlton, NJ

Great shots everyone!

Tiger, Wonderful shot of the Kinglet! I know how difficult they can be to photograph.

PERTH, Australia

This Willie Wagtail came and landed so close to me I couldn't get it all in the frame and being distracted by it caused me to miss an award winning osprey shot. (LOL)

The variety of birds are getting better each day. Nice shots everyone. I want one of those Harris Sparrows Dellrose.

Great shots everyone....always so enjoyable to see what all is out there!

Dellrose....my WB nuthatches are VERY scrappy and even fly at the squirrels. I can tell when a squirrel is on one of the feeders because I can hear them fussing.

We have had so much dreary weather and the birds have been sporadic. I had a lot of activity this morning...finally. But the really cold weather is right around the corner so I expect to see more soon.

Four of the bluebirds are still here and I have had a lovely flicker hanging around:

Two of the bluebirds on the log feeder.....this feeder is on the opposite side of the yard from the other feeders and I think that they like the privacy:
