Charlene I am glad you're getting a collection, it's sooo much fun watching them grow

Dee
my DH is getting me the dragon, you plug it into the computer & talk it types for you, I think that's just the neatest thing
it's on sale right now for half price
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Wow! That seems like a good price for what they are.Right now, I don't have that many seeds to start, but I would like to get one, before long. I got some bayer tree and shrub,to drench the pots with. I saw where mike and some others use it to control bugs, on their brugs
Dee

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

That sounds neat Elizabeth. I think one of my daughters had it at one time.Or maybe she just had a trial. I know they had something like that.
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Dee
I have over 100 seeds, now I have 4 mini GH's but that's the only one with a heat matt, that's why I need to get another one on payday, if all those seeds make it I will have extra seedlings in the spring
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

You sure will!!! I started the ones that you sent a, on the 29th, and I can see them starting to send out their little nub of a root, so I am gonna get some from those! There were 5 of each kind, but I dropped one seed and never did find that precious little thing, and I looked and looked.
My mini green houses were worn out. I pitched most of them last Spring.
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Dee
that sounds great, already showing roots? that's pretty good, hey you won't believe the leaves on the clipping you sent me tommorrow I will take a pic of it & the pic of the mini GH I just got
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Oh, great! I'm glad they are doing well for you! I'm telling ya, I just love growing these cuttings!..lol Can't wait to see your pics. Elizabeth, do the brug seedlings like it as dry as the cuttings do?
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Dee
I just water, when they are really dry, not to over water them, a lot of the clippings I have in peatmoss are also looking good
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

I have cuttings in peatmoss, some in1/2 MG and 1/2 perlite mixed, and some done using brenda's TP roll method..try all different ways to see which I like best. I have lost a few, to rot, but not many at all. I'm really surprized at my luck!
Dee

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Elizabeth, have you ever got cuttings from Eddiedewayne? Oh my, they are grand! Like the shredded white that I sent to you.He sent a bonus of Pink Dragon, also.
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Dee
I got Mary K for my best friend of 26yrs, that's her name, also I got meadow princess from him, it didn't make it through last winter, but Mary K has done well for my friend
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

I think I remember seeing a pic of Mary K, and thinking it was pretty. It's a double, isn't it?
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Dee
it is a double, Mary is going to give me cuttings of it, I got it for her for mothers day, she's the one that got me started in Brugs, she gave me 3 trees in 2001, that started the addiction, we have been friends since 1984, we don't visit every day but we do get caught up on the phone & by emails, & we go to each others plant sales
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

That sounds like so much fun, Elizabeth.Does she live in the same town as you? Well, you know that you are the one to blame for getting Charleen and me hooked, don't cha?..lol There we were just mosying along, tickled pink with our noid singles, and you started posting those pics of all your beauties!..LOL What a fun addiction it is!
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Dee
you're too too funny, we live about 20 minutes apart, I would never live too far from her, that girl is sooo talented, she can paint, has a wonderful garden, I can call her about anything, she is also a master gardener, if I don't know what a plant is I can just discribe it for her she can tell me the bontanical name of it, & she can sew curtains, we usually trade
I help her weed, & she sews curtains & such a pleasure to talk to
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

that would be wonderful, to have a good friend living, so close. My two best friends live a good ways away. One is in SE Ohio, and one is in southern IN, but we talk on the phone fairly often. The lady across the Street from me is a master gardener, and a plant addict like me.She has a beautiful big yard...looks like a park and she does it all by herself. But, she doesn't do the internet, so I get a lot of plants that she hasn't seen before, and she has gobbs of the tried and trues to share, so we are always sharing with each other. I have a notion that she will turn into a brug addict, come next summer, because her mailbox is right in front of wher I will have a new bed of brugs..lol
Dee

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Elizabeth, I think I am gonna hit the sack. My eyes are crossing on me..lol I don't know when I will get on tomorrow night, but I will try to get my turn..lol The grandkids will be spending the night. My daughter's workplace is having their Christmas dinner, early, because the doctor she works for will be out of town, closer to Christmas. They won't get home from Indianapolis til around 10:30, so I just invited the GK's to spend the night.
Night Elizabeth!

Good night Dee
Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Good morning, everyone. I am sitting here taking a break from the housework, and listening to Bing Crosby sing Christmas carols. Nobody sings Christmas carols like Bing!..lol..Who is your favorite?
Dee

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Good Morning Dee. Must have been tired. I slept til 9:00, very unusal since I went to bed so dog gone early.
Yes, bing Crosby is a great singer. But my favorite is George Strait, love George.
Charleen

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Hope you aren't getting sick, Charleen. Bing is just my favorite singer for Christmas carols. That's the only time that I listen to him..lol...My favorite all around singer is Josh Turner.I love that deep voice.
Dee

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Long Black Train, I have that on my Telephone. I love it. Yes, he has one of those beautiful deep voices. Love him too. But George is a "Dreamboat". Ain't I awful?
Charleen

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Charleen, when my DH and I got married in 1995, we played George Straight's "I cross my heart" I love that song.
Dee

Batesville, AR

Good morning girls. I don't listen to music. Ain't I weird? I rather listen to audio books. Never been a music person, even when I was a teen.
Kim

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

I was just checking my cuttings and My NOL has bit the dust...That's the second NOL that I have had rot on me. I wonder if they are harder to root than most of the others, or if it's just me...DARN...I love that one.
Dee

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Morning Kim! I listen to music, when I'm alone cleaning house, or in the van, and thats about it.In the van, I keep the radio on a station that plays old rock and roll.Hope you're have a great day!
Dee

Batesville, AR

Aw, I hate it when that happens. I had to call time of death on Adeline last night. Sorry for your loss Dee.
Kim

Batesville, AR

Doing some house work of my own this morning. Getting some laundry done and keeping our woodstove going. Bunches of stuff to do. Suns up and bright not warm though. Darn. lol. Hope you are having a good day too.
Kim

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

My little seedling is trying to "bite the dust"
Think it's dying too. But with all this cuttings, I think I can survive...
Don't you think, girls???
Charleen

Batesville, AR

Yep, lots of new cuttings help with surviving the loss. :) Got yours packaged and ready to mail as soon as Lonny wakes up. He is a night owl. He can not sleep at night. They are packaged well so the cold won't bother them.
Kim

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

yeah, we will survive, but I gave my NOL a proper brug cutting funeral..had a wake...left it standing there a few days to make sure... then dumped it in the trash, with "a take that"! LOL
Kim, I just potted up an Adeline cutting. If it makes it, I will share with you, come Spring.
Dee

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Kim, I was just looking at your trade list and see that you have Iochroma grandiflora. Are they hard to start from cuttings? and from seed? Do you have any idea how long it takes for them to bloom fron seed? 1st year, second, third?????? I want one!! Was looking at the seeds on e-bay.

Dee

Batesville, AR

That would be nice thank you. We don't have NOL but I am hoping the Pink Perfection grows really big this year. I would just love to share cuttings of that one. Waitting sucks. lol.
Kim

Batesville, AR

That one is on my want list, sorry. I was looking for some Iochroma for a friend on another forum for secret santa gift.
Kim

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Kim, How are you doing, besides trying to keep warm.
Charleen

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)
