Creeping Charlie Question

(Tracey) Mobile, AL(Zone 8b)

I know that in some areas Creeping Charlie is a menace. In my area it doesn't seem to be a problem. I have had a barrel planter full of it since Spring. It didn't jump off and root everywhere, so I assume it behaves itself here.

It looked great all through spring and summer, but during late September, early October is starting dying off. It is dead or does it go dormant? I just want to know before I dump the soil that the roots are in...

Thanks

It just goes dormant, so the soil will have living roots in it. It is quite a pest up here in KY, so I would be cautious where I put this soil.

Thanks
