I found some Milk Thistle if anyone wants some. It was harvested in 07 but I have started plants from the seeds this year and they were fine. This is a really beautiful plant that has thorny, mottled leaves and can get really tall. Blooms the second year unless started in the fall. Please send a dmail if you want it and I will put it on my list.

CLOSED: '09 Fall Frenzy Swap #8
George, those are beautiful! I've never looked at pics of Milk Thistle before, had no idea they were so attractive! Are they as thorny and painful as regular thistles? I'm very tempted, but I injure myself enough as it is, LOL.
Kelly, I don't believe those are Incarvillea, I've grown those before and the blooms arose from a rosette of foliage rather than at the tips of leafy stems. From the pic, I believe the blooms on this plant in question are smaller too.
Good Morning!
I was putting my 2 year old to bed last night... and she put me to bed instead ;)
I had I think 9 or 10 requests for the Meadow Rue, lol
I'm going to mark it as gone and try to fill a couple more packets... I'll check back in with you all in a bit.
No biggie if you don't have enough for my request. Just 5 or 6 seeds would be plenty for me if you do :-)
Good morning piggies - or rather I should say dark pouring rain morning. Did some of you more southerly folks send it up this way?
Becky, I've got you down for the japanese anemone. I know several folks had wanted it when I mentioned way back, but can't remember who, so please send a grunt this way if you want some.
Andrea, you can take me off the meadow rue list. I just don't have the space left with enough sun for something that big.
Hi oinkers, did anyone from last years piggy swap get hot peppers that grew tall (4-5 ft) with an upward growing, approximately one inch, orange color and Xmas light bulb shape? I'm just trying to ID them.
We had a huge crop of various hot peppers this year and with the mild weather, they keep on coming! I'm really all peppered out at this point. I dried out what I thought was the end for ground chili powder. And yesterday, another handful emerged on the kitchen counter!
Critter, Harry made your recipe for hot sauce -- we have more than a lifetime supply now lol ^_^
ansonfan- I want some Milk Thistle!
Wind. I t may be Cascabel. It ha s that description shape and thos e were in the swpa last year that I can think of off hand.
I have enough for everyone that Oinked :-) 20 seeds per pack
Lynn
Gemini
toofewanimals
colchie
guamsorbit
imzadi
mekos
LeBug
antsinmypants
and Perennial, if you'd still like some
If I missed someone, PLMK. I think I have enough to make another packet also.
Sharon, my plant really doesn't take up much space. It has a small rosette of leaves, sort of like a columbine at the base. And then it sends up one or 2 really tall thin and airy stalks on each plant. It's very wispy. The tallness of the plant is the stalk of flower. I only have one plant, so it's more of a showpiece plant than what it would look like mass planted.
Andrea
Andrea, you've talked me into it. Oink. Thanks.
Lol. Glad I can help feed our addiction ;)
Andrea, does it reseed like they say in the plantfiles? I may rethink about planting it next to the house I have good morning sun there until about 4 in the evening when it really gets hot and have a perfect corner of the house for it where I'm taking one of those butterfly bushes out next year that can take some shade.
Puter being stupid for moment so putitgn these on here for now.
Have the following.
4 Scabiosa. They a mix of Pink and Purple seeds. Didn't think when I colelcted and just grabbed em all in a pile.
3 Hyssopus officinalis
4 Campanularia Desert BlueBell
ansonfan
I want thistle please
gemini, the best way I can describe the thistle is to say it is brutally thorny, but as majestic when it blooms as the great mullein, just really a treat to see.
I'll send you a few and you can decide ok :)
Also have herbspirit and imzadi.
Gypsy, didn't you have me down for the Meadow Rue?
Well anyway if you have enough I would like a couple seeds, don't need many.
Does anyone know how to clean the seeds of Sweet Annie. I have a plant loaded down but haven't been able to tell what the seeds are yet. If I can get them done tonight I can offer them as well

Wind is this your pepper

Thanks, George! I think I'll like it- very handsome plant, and I know to position it as an "antisocial" plant, LOL. I grow a Mullein or two every year for the reason you describe, so I'm sold :-)
Sharon, I'd like to try my hand at the Pink Anemone if you've got enough. I failed with the Anemones I tried last year, but they get 3 strikes before I give up!
Star, I'm Oinking for just a few seeds of the Campanularia Desert BlueBell, looking to try just one plant in a container next summer.
Just going to mention here that the Summer Hill seed co-op has hit the 38% off mark!!!! It ends tonight.
You've got the anemone Neal. Please don't give up on them. They're a great shade plant and late bloomer, and once established they'll take off. I haven't grown them from seed, but have had some self-starters, though they mostly multiply by sending out runners.
Sharon, as if anyone here needs more seeds?
I know, I know, but there were a few there that I didn't see here that I just didn't think I could live without! lol (Did that make sense?)
Star- can I get some of your Scabiosa and Hyssopus officinalis?
Sweet annie- love the smell. I make wreaths every year out of them and other herbs (for color) and hang them in the bathroom where the shower water/steam fills the house with their aroma.
It' a fall harvest kinda thing.
I have plants loaded with seed as well, but never collected them. I usually just let them dry on the plant and shook them off later in my beds. I would bet if you cut it down (past the seed line), and put the whole flowering/seedling spike in a grocery paper bag, you could just shake the seeds out in a week or 2.
A few huh TooFew? I've seen your list! Just admit it, you're a seed addict... I am too!
help please
DMgardener who were they before their name change?????? so i can update my oinked list. thanks dmailed them but havent answered yet.

Daniel aka DMGardener was Dasiys before.
Cris is correct.... but any Dmails you would have had with Daniel / Dasiys, would automatically have changed to DMGardener.
Wow! Gorgeous!
ansonfan... Thanks for catching that I didn't have you marked down. I have you covered for a full pack ;)
LeBug... I don't know how they reseed. I took every one of them for the swap, lol!

I'm back on my computer new battery and keyboard squeeeeeeallll!

Hey you guys, I did that a few days ago. I think that is so neat of them to help so.
I just did it and got Tony, my room mate to, that's a great idea!
That is great. I was a Navy wife for 6 years. They always appreciated a letter when they were deployed away from home.
