question do i put the seeds promised to me on my list on the other link so star knows? i am finally caught up on it and wanted to know. or can we make a thread for it?

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Everyone is supposed to put oinked packets for whatever individual piggies into individual baggies when they send their trade (you mark the outside of the baggie with the person's DG name and how many packets you have for them).

I doubt Starlight will have the time to double check to see that you received all the seeds you oinked for... getting those seeds to you is the job of the person who offered them, and in a swap this big you have to accept that sometimes mistakes happen... but the odds are very good that you will be very happy with the selections in your trough!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Which is to say... if it makes it easier for you to keep track, you can certainly make a list of the seeds promised to you... and you can post that list on the "lists" thread if that's convenient... but it's really not something Starlight needs to know.

On the other hand, when people are filling your baggies it can be handy for them to double check your "lists" post and make sure they've included everything you asked from them!

I have 2 trades of gloriosa lily seeds and 5 trades of Tecoma Stans bush if anyone is interested.

Ok, time for seed promotion! I still have 5! packets of this beauty. It was an absolutely gorgeous plant. Is STILL flowering, in a pot, on my deck, and loaded with cool seed pods. Nice neat, small tree-like form (got about 30-36" in a 14" pot). I'm going to try planting in the ground next year and see how big it gets.

I have a meadow rue plant I started from seed. Don't know it's particular name. It is in it's 3rd year. It is about 3 ft. tall now, only 1 1/2 ft wide. But it is in a little more than partial shade, and it is not in 'moist' soil. It blooms every year and I love it. Mine does not have the yellow stamens that 'sparkle' has.
I would love to grow a plant of your 'sparkle' Mygypsyrose. Just a couple seeds would be great.

This is what I found on the web for 'Sparkle Meadow Rue'
Botanical Name: Thalictrum rochebruneanum

Sun Exposure: Partial Shade/Full Sun

Height/Habit: 4 - 6'

Spread: 12 - 18"

Spacing: 12 - 18"

Hardiness Zone: 5 - 9

Flower Form: Tiny flowers with prominent yellow stamens.

Flower Color: Lavender pink with yellow stamens.

Flowering Date: Mid to late summer.

Planting Requirements: Prefers a light shade area with rich soil and good moisture content.

Soil Requirements: Rich organic soil and even moisture.

Growth Rate: Moderate

Trenton, MI(Zone 5b)

Ok, you've made me curious this morning, so I've been looking into the Meadow Rue.
Mine is definitly not T. rochebrunianum. I have T. aquilegiifolium which only gets 2 to 3 ft tall, so I guess mine is fully grown now.

Sorry, I never thought to save seeds from it. I will next year.

If you want to read more about Meadow Rue and there is some seed starting information here too, go to

Winchester, KY(Zone 6a)

Andrea, I'd love to try your Meadow Rue if ya still have some.

Any ideas what Ant's purple bloom is? Kinda looks like a Penstemon.

Simpsonville, SC(Zone 7b)

Could the pretty purple be a Incarvillea? Description says ferny foliage...
