Where to go for greenhouse info?

Enid, OK

My mom bought a rent house and it has a greenhouse. My sister lives there so I have full access - I think there is a treadmill in there but it can go. I have no idea what to do with a greenhouse!! Never had one, never been around one. It has electric run to it so...now what??

You may find so valuable information here.

Loved the greenhouse tours!!!!!!! When we retired and moved south to AR, I wanted a greenhouse for tender plants that couldn't stay outside. After much thought and discussion, we decided against a stand-alone, and settled for an attached one. We use it in the summer as a dining room, have hosted neighborhood get-togethers in the fall; I use it for crafts, listening to my MP3, reading, and in the winter, it houses our outside plants, etc. We love it

oops! meant to post this on the greenhouse tours thread.

JeanK,

That is really nice.. I love it.. Good idea to use it as a dining room in the summer. Makes it even more worth the cost as it does double-duty.

Thanks Tracey. We have hosted our block get-together and it was nice that everyone could "spread out." We have luminaries on our 17-home block a couple of weeks before Christmas. We take turns being the host -- it is a lot of fun. Everyone brings finger foods, the fellows go out and light the candles, when they get back we eat!
