Melbourne, FL

Great pics. Love the Nuthatch shots, Mrs_Ed, congratulations! By the time I was able to get outside this morning, there was very little bird activity. I did catch this Osprey soaring nearby.

Oh how cute Mrs Ed!! I was just saying at dinner I hope we get some RB Nuthatches this winter. We had some in winter 07/08 but none last year.

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

That a nice shot of the RB Nuthatch, and congratulation on luring it to your yard, Mrs Ed.

Rose those are great shots of the Waxwings.

Nanny do you have a lot of Blue Jays this year, compare to the other years?
I'm seeing a lot more of them, and so does my Sis, and SIL.
Love the twinkle in the Cardinal's eye.

Thanks Burd, the Chickadees are sweet little birds. I just love how curious and friendly they are.
I've had a swarm of Starlings stop in, in September. But they didn't stay. I know they'll be back for suet, when the snow starts piling up.

Nice shots guys!

Dark and dreary here. Had to clean up and change some of the feeders after all this rain from the nor'easter.

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

Red, your pelicans are beautiful. We've been watching ours fly just a few inches above the lake in a perfect line or V formation this afternoon. They're so large that it seems impossible to me.
GP congratulations on the osprey sighting.
Mrs Ed, love all your photos, especially the wps! That one with the Jay and peanut is comical!
Adel, great hawk photo.
Rose, your Waxwings are beautiful!!
Nice job everyone!!

My Crows are always ready to eat the nuts.

Nice Shots Everyone!! A couple of backyard shots today. I didn't know Nuthatches were so tough, this guy keeps everyone in check, he only allows the Juncos near the feeder when he's there.

A squirrel was near his hidden seed's, so he spread his wings to look more menacing (it worked) squirrel jumped to another tree.

A Red-bellied Woodpecker showed up, and made a fuss because the lil Nuthatch wouldn't leave it alone. I want the R-bWP to visit my feeder but it will have to be a little tougher than he showed today.

What wonderful bird photos everyone is posting - the variety is amazing. I was thrilled to see this sparrowhawk in my garden yesterday. I had to take the photos through the window but they are better than nothing!

Great pics of the avocets. Here is a RBW enjoying the apple tree yesterday. I wasn't sure if he was eating the apple or insects on the apple but it spent several minutes pecking at the same apple. The apple tree was very popular yesterday with birds and squirrels.

Missy, nice shots, especially that second one of the warbler! Cute!
Burd, love your photos too. That Nuthatch is sure pretty and nice one of the wp.
Galan, that hawk is beautiful and so is that tit. Wish we could see these beauties in person!
Red, those Avocets are so pretty!
Chris, great shots of the wp and squirrel.

This is the first time I've gotten a House Finch, a Cedar Waxwing and a Robin in one shot. Hopefully, next time they'll be closer and clearer.

Can't forget the White-crowned Sparrows (at least I think it's an immature since there's a dot of white).
