Someone gave me a poor passion flower. It was outside in the weather (ohio) and it is now somewhat yellow...I am wondering if I can bring it back out of it. Since ohio doesn't winter well for this, I am thinking more of a houseplant sorta thing..anyone else have done this?
passion flower- poor thing
Yes, I have. Right now it's in our indoor (unheated) porch that only gets heat from the two adjoining bedrooms when the doors are open. Over winter it simply exists - no amazing growth. It will go back outside in mid May as it always does.
Tishrh,
Trinawitch knows alot about the passion flower. I'm pretty sure she grows them in her home. Maybe she will be along soon!!
Trina, Oh Trina.... Where are you?
I know you can grow them indoors but i don't know what they exactly need...plus I am not sure if I should cut it down. It looks awful straggly.
Tish, you can cut the vine back. here is some info on passion vines.
