Dreams

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

I've had tooth problem dreams many times. One that I had that I can't forget and has recurred, is being stuck in a volkswagon while a tidal wave crashed over me.

One interesting one that I had many years ago was being in a taxi trying to get across a big steel bridge. What made it unique is that it was all black and grey except for the dashboard of the taxi which was bright glowing red.

Never been in a ladies or mens room while dreaming.

I've never had bathroom dreams either but it might have something to do with the way you were potty trained :-)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That explains it - I never was.

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

Victor, don't let your mom hear that :-)

venu-maybe you were in the Cash Cab :-)

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Still waiting for the cash :~}

I once had a dream where my, um, member, was in the toilet after peeing! When I woke up, I made sure it was still attached.

North Augusta, ON

LOL...bet you woke up in a sweat!!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

was the water deep and cold?

Oh I like this thread! I'm going to have to think about my dreams.....I don't dream as much as I used to.
I remember the flying one, could do it often when I was young, hardly ever as an adult.

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

I usually only remember my dreams when it's cold in my room.
I love the recurring dream where I find new rooms in my house with cool antique furniture all around.
I hate the one where I forgot to go to a class for the whole semester and today is the final so I prolly won't graduate. Or that I forgot to get dressed and I'm in a school hallway with lockers.
I usually have epic dreams with several episodes, political trickery, etc. I was shot in a dream when I was a teen and lived to tell about it! Once I had a war going on in my closet.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

wow that's intense

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow - those are mini-series, Kathy!

I have a recurring one where my house is totally different - but really cool. Lots of rooms and lots of outdoor space.

Another recurring one is people trampling my garden and I have to yell at them.

In many dreams, I try to scream at someone and nothing comes out.

Quoting:

That one is definitely a nightmare!!!

I love the ones I have about buying a new house and discovering the different rooms.

Kathy, I also have the dream about not going to class----or wandering the halls looking for my classroom, which I never find. Can't understand how I ended up in the classroom for 34 years---I hated school when I was a kid---much rather stay at home & read.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Ha! I have the same peeing dream all the time Jen! I also have the ones where I can't wake up, or I can't accomplish what I need to...if I wake up, I have to get out of bed or I will return to my dream. Once I had a dream that told me to quit a job, which I did! In the dream, I was doing rounds in the middle of the night, opened the door to a patient's room, and these 2 ghosts came flying towards me, grabbed me by each arm, pulled me into the room, and then whisked me away into dark oblivion. I didn't have to have THAT dream twice to get the message!
I have nice dreams once in awhile also, but not as often as I used to....And yes, I dream about african violets!

Yes - I have many garden dreams. Quite often it does not involve my own garden though. I always seem to be planting in strange places!

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Busy spreading your seed Victor?? ^_^

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee!

Good one, Weeze!

Was going down the road with my husband to McDonalds ( we were in FL) I said - it coming up here on the right and he was going to fast and couldnt make the turn and went straight across the road and ended up in another McDonalds. I said this ones good enough.

We went into that one and we had a freind that just got the job as Manager of that McD's. He was proud and holding his head high. Dressed nice and acting snooty. Come to find out he only had to feed 3 people in a days work. This dream was a couple of nights ago....

Thomaston, CT

I've never had a garden dream----wonder why? And no McD's either, Sherrie---were you hungry?

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

I spent the night moving my orchids around. Too close to reality!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i was moving in my japanese maples in containers last night - did not get to them while awake yet

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

A gardener's work is never done!

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

....and life is but a dream.

Thomaston, CT

Will move the JM as soon as this week's warm spell is over.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

got a couple in today - the rest tomorrow - not a lot of space in the garage - might try to keep a couple in the shed IF i figure out a way to keep the mice away from them.

Thomaston, CT

Whoa---mice eat them? There are always mice in my garage!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Never had that problem.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

if there is no food source they will eat the bark - and i know they are in my shed - diana at topiary gardens lost a couple hundred last winter from them! she has a post about it on here web site.

i noticed last winter mice had eaten bark from maple trees branches i had cut down and chopped up to use a kindling - these were out in the yard though.

Wow.

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

I wonder if that's how I lost the bark on my bloodgood and it died, but it was planted. Yet, the snow was very high that year......

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I never had a garden dream either and very rarely in my dreams am I outside.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Something occurred to me, Jen. Three threads you recently started - Dreams, Question about Men and What's for Dinner - seem to follow a pattern. Are you dreaming about a man who will cook you dinner?? ^_^

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

lol Well...hubby does BBQ

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

LOL

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

kathy your bloodgood could have died from freezing and warming - that could cause the bark to crack like mine in the back did and died - i would think you would notice if critters ate all the bark at the base.

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Ah, well it was peeled off about a foot up and the snow was about that high. But it's prolly more likely that it would be weather related. As you can tell, the experience has kept me from growing any more JMs. Even though I love them.

My JM died last year from something. It wasnt weather. Then again mice will eat anything, even a SOS Pad!

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

LOL
