Tropicbreeze, my friend is somewhere in Africa. He should be back sometime next year and will be happy to share his knowledge of propagating Titanum from leaf cuttings with you.
My only entry in Plant files is a Amorhophallus Dactylifer

Good evening Rita and all DGers.
With all the rain and been working i'an a two weeks behind on getting my green house up and ready for winter. Working on it today and tomorrow. I hoped to only use my big grh. this year. Right you guessed it ,too many plants for both ghouses. All of my dancing ladies did not come back this year. Will have to get caught on #55.

Rita, that's the Elkhorn, Platycerium bifurcatum, which develops into a clump of multiple plantlets. The Staghorn is Platycerium superbum which grows as a single plant.

I might try the A. titanum from this season's plant and then when your friend returns I'll either be able to tell my own tale of happiness, or else a tale of sorrow.

My Cestrum nocturnum (night blooming jasmine) is perfuming the entire house this evening. I love having the windows open!

I am loving all of these pictures can not wait to show mine!!!

Texasbigleaves,Glad to see you!!! I hope that the weather stays good until you get your Gh up and packed. I do not see how you will be able to get all those huge plants in one GH. (Good luck)
I do have a few ginger plants that did not bloom at all this year. I have a red ginger that had buds for the longest time and when it finally bloomed, it was all leaves. (go figure)

Did your Orange Bird of Paradise ever bloom this year?

Tropicbreeze, thanks for the correct ID. I did not know that there are so many species of Platycerium.

Dutchlady, I wish that I had planted my night blooming Jasmine a little closer to the house. I will not move it but try to buy another, everyone seems to enjoy that plant very much.

Pensacolagarden, I can't wait to see how nice your plants and garden is coming along. I do enjoy seeing what other gardeners are growing.

Rita, your first pic reminded me that my third staghorn fern has not died. This one might be the charm. Only one of my 3 globbas returned, the pink one. I thought the white one was supposed to be the hardiest. not for me.

NBJ. Stick a cutting in loose dirt and you'll have a nice plant next spring. Do protect if it gets too cold. If in greenhouse, no problem.

Here's an unknown I only just noticed flowering today. I'm sure I had a name for it when I first bought it.

vossner,my yellow Globba has healthy foliage, but no blooms so far, I will probably move them next spring.
I was smiling when I read about your third try with the fern. I am on my third try with the Medinilla Magnifica. I swore that was the last time when it died last year, but here is another.

Tropicbreeze, Great Pictrues!!! Thanks.
I am familiar with the second plant, but the first and the third spiked my interest. The unknown looks like some type of ginger

Rita, I had to look up your Medinilla Magnifica plant because I liked the look of that foliage and dear heaven's what a beautiful bloom that goes along with it. Very nice plant all the way around.

New Anthurium for me. I do believe it is "Obake"

Those Copper Leaf Plants, would they be what we call Acalypha here?

That is correct!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I have three more tropicals added to my collection, a lovely hanging varigated rose and cream and green Ivy, another type of Anterium with the tall flower and on the way to me is a ANTHURIUM WAROCQUEANUM - QUEEN ANTHURIUM, I am so Kacited!

joeswife, I am so excited for you too especially on the A. waroqueanum. Please let me know how that Anthurium does for you as a houseplant. I just recently got Anthurium watermaliense and I am anxious about seeing a bloom on this one.

Dutchlady, What a inspiring picture. Acalypha Irish Petticoat and Marginata Bronze, go well together.
My Petticoat was from a DG in Florida, she sent me a rooted cutting. It is about 3ft.now.
I also enjoyed your underplantings of Bromeliads and variegated oyster plants.
This noid is from Candela

RachelLF, thanks .
I love the mix of color on your Anthurium flower, and your new Philo.it sure is a big plant. My new plants are usually in 4" pots. I repotted this new Philo. 'Ring of fire' today.

Joeswife, I am excited for you too, I love those plants. I can see another addiction coming on. I find that my Anthuriums will do much better in hangng baskets.
This is my last purchase, Anthurium Cupulispathum. The leaves are supposed to get 6ft long. I will be happy with 3ft.

I agree, my anthuriums do best in hanging baskets.

I love big foliage and anthuriums would certainly qualify but I'm not good growing them.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

got rid of the big blue tub, and brought in the little water tub, cut down chrissy since she had two branches and some folks wanted some of her..my fan plant from a DGr' here has come up and has a fan..the tops of Chrissy and of Monster white branches in the little tub.. I. Indica rooted out nicely and is now in a tub with something to climb on..*sigh* I love to garden.
