very nice JoAnn... good for you!
It's Fall in the Northeast #4
jo ann you are very talented! Very nice
JoAnn, The birches are my favorites
Everyone loves birches.
A white tree is such an unusual and unexpected surprise.
That is some intense color on the enkianthus.
It really is. It's Enkianthus perulatus, or white enkianthus. Not so easy to find. The campanulatus species and other hybrids are more common. It's very slow growing.
victor great color - my enkianthus perulatus is still a little guy may have to get another
Thanks. I want more too.
was just checking the sale at rarefind - not on the list
It's not so common. Got mine from FW but they no longer offer it.
PF shows Rarefind normally carrying it.
i checked to RF site and it is not listed - must be out of them.
Where did you get yours?
rarefind
How long ago?
got it either last fall or this spring
searched the web and no sightings yet
I'm thinking there may be some patent / legal problem??
not sure - yours looks like it is big enough that you could hack off some to grow another
I might try - with the rooter pot.
The Yabbadabbadoo JM IS my fav but the Pixie is a better choice for my zone. The enkianthus is brilliant! The patent info says the 'inventors' were from Philidelphia. Maybe the Phillie members can tract it down? O wait they might be in a bad mood about recent sporting news. Maybe wait a bit.
Nice color you still have there, Victor!
Karen
I contacted FW about it. They sais they cannot find any suppliers anymore. And cuttings and tissue culture have not worked. Weird!
Too funky weird!
beautiful shots Victor
Thanks, Allison.
great pix everyone
Pretty colors.
I noticed my hardy geraniums this morning. Nice oranges on that shrub Bill
Nice colors still out there for you guys---not too much left here---I know I don't have enough shrubs---Oh, well---just bought snowsuits for the gkids for Christmas---there goes the shrub budget!
Nice color there, Bill! I got some great shots at Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, MA today. Will post when I get a chance.
Karen
