"Here is Heuchera electric lime under our bloodgood jm"-->I love the colors on this one! They were my decorating colors when I had a house.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I think I have thay one, bought in the same coop. Ha ha ha...DD's wedding screwed up my gardening mind!!!!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

of course you did celeste - was there a coop you missed?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

several in fact, it was for my own good. ^_^

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Bill that electric lime does look very promising

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I am taking cuttings for next year.
Its a grower and I have a dozen plants so far

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Nice pics, everyone! Celeste, even though the snow is pretty, I hope we don't get any too soon.

Jo Anne, are heucheras easy to take cuttings from?

Karen

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Great question Cousin Nut. Can you propagate heucheras easy/peasy from cuttings?

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

If you can, I will surely be doing some myself.

Karen

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Ditto.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Our town picks up leaves in bags. IrisMA and her DH used to use old x-mas trees for brush jumps when I was younger. They made interesting jumps. No ponies there now!

Thomaston, CT

We take most of our leaves to the town's brush dump, as most are oak, & don't decompose. I loved that combo, Bill!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Marilyn, my oak leaves decompose, but they do take longer than other kinds. It really helps if you can shred them. Going over them with the lawn mower works really well. That's what I do, as I don't have a shredder. And if you can't combine them with grass clippings or green weeds or fresh manure, then blood meal sprinkled on them works great. You have to make sure they're damp. A dry pile will take way too long to decompose.

Thanks everyone! Y'all posted some excellent pictures too!

we turn over any leaves that end up in the garden in spring

Thomaston, CT

That's good advice, Karen, but there's no way for us to shred them---I hired a kid to rake along the fence this year---about 2 years of oak leaves had collected---they were as slippery as ice!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Lawnmower?

South Hamilton, MA

That is what DH uses to shred leaves.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Works like a charm. We sometimes do that with our mulching mower.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

A couple of more water shots - from my hike this AM.

That's odd. The last one should have been cropped a bit to remove the out of focus stuff in the foreground. Oops.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

JoAnn, love your block prints! That Tea for 2.5 is so Matisse! And your sink is one of my favs too. And the peonies and parasols is my fav watercolor. Very user friendly website!

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Wow! Beautiful website! I tried to pick a favorite, but there were too many to choose just one! I'd love to see what you would do with African Violets someday...or perhaps one of Victor's beautiful waterfalls!?!
.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Or a dahlia! ^_^

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Nice water shots, Victor! I've got to try that sometime.

Jo Ann, your website looks great! My favorite watercolors are the birches. I love birches. And of the whiteline prints I like the lupines a lot.

Karen

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, Karen.

Yes - very nice, Jo Ann! The whiteline prints are something. The waterlily watercolor looks familiar! ^_^

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks everyone, I am working on changing the background color to something more neutral.
I did paint a picture from Victor!
