Tragedy. Heard as well on the news that they may have ties to Islam. Also said any one can come on the base that has an I.D. Unbelievable!! You would think with every thing that has happened. And who were at war with some one would wise the freak up! Hi all. I'll step off of my soap box now.

I think they said that there was 3 shooters. One is dead. He was supposedly in our military. Said he was from Virginia. I dont know if they have the others in custody or not. All of it is still breaking news.

Turns out the shooter was Major Malik Nadal Hasan. A high ranking officer attacking soon to be deployed new soldiers.

there is more than one suspect, he himself has also returned from 2 tours in iraq, so he may have just gone nuts. Only High Security bases and posts over seas even require an ID Dixie, most bases anyone can drive through if it's an Army base. The Army the Ghetto of all the Armed Services. The Major is suspect of being of Islamic faith, but he is said to have been very upset because of being assigned to another deployment to Iraq. I think Trina is right that he went nuts.

No Dave none of them are New soldiers, The one I'm most worried about is my best Friends Dad, he is the last person a us soldier talks to before being sent over seas like those troops were getting ready for and he was in the building

I had a child hood friend that was killed in 911. Loved her dearly. We always stayed in touch. When she would come home to visit her family we would always get together. I will go and visit her parents now and then. It still saddens me. To see her things and pictures in their home. It is like a light has gone out in them. She was their only child.

Yeah I can see that, but right now they aren't even sure he was the gunman, what's with that? I mean yeah if the guy did it by all means splash his name everywhere, but what if after everything's all over he was just another innocent soldier running for cover, shot because of his name, I highly doubt that's what they'll find but, who knows

Hey Trina, it is supposed to be confirmed that the Major had two handguns and was actively firing them in assault, when he was gunned down by MP's.
