Very nice, Bill. (Though not level. ^_^)

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

and last this one has some nice grooves/scars from glaciers

actually ir is exactly level front to back and side to side - pain to get level too - ground slopes - optical illusion.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee - just busting.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

That is just amazing.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Anyone see How the Earth Was Made the other night? About Yellowstone?

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I am watching the Parks series by Ken Burns.
I had no idea how corrupt the early years were and how they almost got into developers hands.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

VERY NICE, Bill!!! I just showed it to Hank, and he really likes it too! He said he'd like for you to carbon date it, just in case it was pilfered from somewhere. He's suggesting that those photos of where you found it were just a hoaky set-up to cover your tracks! LOL That table is just perfect for displaying your bonsai's. Great use of it! That last one with the grooves is very interesting! Looks like you aren't slowing down any up there!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Jo Ann - That is a very well-done series. We watched it from start to finish, and it really reveals some scurrilous shenanigans, huh?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I missed it. Wanted to see it. I think they made it too long though.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

I didn't think it was too long. I enjoyed all the detail.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I am appaled and embarrased at the displacement of the Native Americans living on their land, kicked off, relocated, etc in order to make a place for tourists.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That applies to the entire country, not just the parks.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

I agree. It was horrific!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Let's all leave!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

louise don't tell hank about the pick-up i bought - and if he can pin point exactly where it is missing from it is his:)

thx

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

LOL, Bill! No photos of your new pickup???? That opens up all kind of possibilities!!! What fun!

Thomaston, CT

Nice projects, Bill---great display for the bonsai---

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

The new table TOTALLY ROCKS wha! Very Flintstonian. Maybe needs a yabbadabbadoo jm with it?

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Funny, dahl!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

the yabbaddabadoo jm's are to the left of this pic dnut:) probably more to come to look forward too as well!

louise my pick up is disguised a lot like a black 2000 ford Taurus:)

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Great looking rock table Bill!!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

thx - i think it will only hold one bonsai - good thing i have another flat rock in staging!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Only you wha would be 'staging' rocks. I am more a 'placer' and 'sprinkler' of rocks.

Well, it looks great with that one bonsai.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Another 'placing' I did this summer.

Nice dnut!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Victor ! Natives are getting even with big cassinos here in the east. They wanted one in downtown Rochester. Its way too conservative here for gambaling and prostitution on a grand scale.
So I guess anyone could say the worst traits in us were passed on to the Natives in the 1800's and they have come back to bite us in the U-know where.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

nice stepping stone path dnut - i would add more of the little ones to it they really make it stand out.

staging might not have been the correct word:) a flat rock to display obviously - the other is on the top of a wall right now, it is a very black stone and it could clash next too this one so i may have to place it else where in the garden.

i will tell you these last two books i've read, stone by stone and gardening with stone have got me thinking 24/7 of rock. love it.

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

I'm in Orchidland and you're in Rockland and we talk in DGese.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

:)
hopefully the weather will hold off today to give me some time after grocery shopping to find a roundish flat stone to make a mushroom top out of. have one although i think it is a bit too small.

what about the Siberian iris's?

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

That's June's obsession, with peonies and roses. Everything I collect is an obsession. You should see the "house" full of amaryllis, hoyas, tropical irises, epiphyllums, and 300 orchids and you'd get it. Be happy to only have the 2 big obsessions!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

trust me there are many more than two:)

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Ah!

Speaking of obsessions, I'm off to fertilize the orchids for the next few hours.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Hey, Kathy, how about some pics of the whole area loaded with all your goodies!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

You spoke my mind Sofonisba

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

ooo I haven't read those ones wha. I have the Sunset Landscaping with Stone and "Advanced Masonry" which has instructions for making walls and arches. My favorite wall in it is called 'A Wall with Serpentine Grace'. I want that wall just so I can say 'O that's my wall with serpentine grace' ^_^
