The Saint puppy is soooo cute! My DH babysat one while the owners were living in Japan for a year---her name was Panda, & he loved her!
NE Forum Pets 2!
Oh luv the SB we had one when I was a kid! Her name was Patches, wonderful memories...
All my pups got a new toy and bones.
My 4 dogs got new beds and bones.^_^
Hey!--I asked Santa for a new bed and a bone too! He apparently couldn't find my chimney...;-(

that was great stuff when I had the horse.. used to use it on my own hands in the winter
I have the Badger balm and like it.
That is the best 'toy' for cats!
Joyce - loved that cute story about your Romeo cat! Glad he's back home safe and sound!
Victor - yes, Bailey and Carlie got new flowered harnesses and leashes since they will surely be gardener pups, even if they haven't figured that out yet. They also got some new chewy toys and a friend sent them one of those laughing dogs that rolls over and over and laughs hysterically. They took one look and jumped into the bed in their "play pen".....Here's a shot of their "freak out" before they got really curious......
Celeste - what a CUTE, CUTE, CUTE puppy!!! Yes, name, please!! Sounds like a fun Christmas at your house!!
Memory - Yeah, I get it about the tree! Very cute shot!
Weez - Dexter is adorable with his present!
Looks like Bailey and Carlie believe in safety in numbers or, at least each other!
Celeste, looks like the Sb puppy has ingratiated himself already in the other pic...I forget which thread, but he's right in the middle of everybody.....cute!
Victor, the cat loves, loves, loves my flashlight/ his cat toy.
DonnieBrook, Those little darlings, Bailey and Carlie look so tiny compared with "Big Foot". Great shot that captures a hint of what must be delightful personalities.
Here are our gals awaiting Santa on Christmas Eve. Santa wasn't very generous to them, but then they get spoiled by us nearly every day. Patti
How cute---gosh, I can't trust my dale anywhere near the tree! Louise, the expressions on their little faces says it all! I was talking to Kathy, the girl from our church who is going to be on Animal Planet---the show is Underdog to Wonderdog, Jan. 9th at 8pm.
Patti - that's a lovely Christmas photo!! I look forward to not having to have puppy safety paraphernalia all over the place! The "play pen" is only one of their safety zones. They use it to wrestle in and sometimes to nap. They also have the run of our front and back porches. When the tree comes down, they'll gradually get access to the living room area. The Dog Whisperer says to increase access gradually, so that's the deal here. They had 4 walks along the River today. Hank tried them on the double leash, and they got a C+. On the other walks we each took one and they are doing pretty well when they don't stop in the road to wrestle. You hit it on the nose....they do have delightful little personalities with a sense of humor, if that is possible!
Weez - LOL! The definitely double time us for every advantage!
Thanks, Marilyn - I'll check that out!!
Poor Hank - three women!
You are just jealous!
Woof!
Cute! I loved the C+ grade---mine were about a D- today!
LOL, Victor!!
Marilyn - the C+ was lowered today on the street brawl. Here's a shot I took as they returned. I'm thinkin' D- as well here. But, on a good note, Carli learned the "sit" command in about 2 minutes flat. She's the one with the filthy face above. Bailey isn't sure she wants to learn to sit. She has already learned in her young years that a sweet young chick with a pretty face may not need to follow any commands. LOL Actually, she's a real sweetheart, but she wasn't buying the "sit" thing at all today.
Donnie, thats funny. Do you think females are slower learners? My male picks up on things pretty quick, but Weezy just acts like nothing I say pertains to her. However, she will sit in my lap all day and get brushed and petted, while George won't sit still for a minute.
Funny, Joyce! I haven't generally had the experience of females being slower learners, but certainly more selective in deciding whether or not to honor commands. Our Molly was the smartest dog I've ever known, but she would decide whether the command was worth executing or not, or whether the timing suited her. LOL Bailey and Carli are both girls. I think Bailey had other things on her mind when I was attempting the training. Carli was hungry and wanted the treat, so she learned VERY quickly. Aren't pets the Best?!!! I love to see how their minds work.
Thats good to know. I haven't ever owned a female before so was just wondering.
My older dog does that too. You are so right, I can see his mind working when I give him a command. Like he's weighing whether or not its worth it and what is he gonna get out of it:-)
They ARE the best. They'll be the bestest when this potty training is sucessful:-)
Gave my cats the toys I bought in Salem,MA. They went nuts over them. Got in about an hour ago.
Lucky kitties! My male dale was very good in obedience class----kept his eyes on the teacher-----my female learned nothing except that the border collie puppy loved her!
Changing the subject to Fish. I dumped my 150 gallon tank 2 weeks ago. It was too much trouble. I could not stand on a chair and reach the bottom. Granted I had 5 grand in the darn thing, the top part went to the shed. Was kind of funny it took 4 men to lug it out, empty.
Had an aquarium all my life and did not want to see this one go, BUT ...... Thinking of buying a 55 gallon at wally world. Only 183 bucks and I can still use the bottom stand of the old one. Wont fit perfect but will take up most of the stand.
I will be able to reach the bottom of the tank without having my feet up in the air and a bathing suit on. Good Grief.
Hope you dumped the water in your garden. They say thats the best fertilizer.
It is! I water my house plants with the aquarium water all the time! The plants love it and the fish love the fresh water I use to refill it when I'm done.
I have a 75 gal, and I can just reach the bottom if I stand on my toes. 75 and 55 gal tanks are the same length and height, but the 75 is 18" in width, the 55 is only 12" in width. A 75 gal tank might fit your stand better, and is much better for the fish.
It is good that you gave me that visual of you in your bathing suit, diving head first into your 150 Gal tank--I've been wanting a larger tank for years, but the reality is that I wouldn't be able to handle it either! I have a tendency to overlook the realities til it is too late, so this will help me remember! ^_^
Old pic...
pretty fishies, Phoebes!
Robin - very funny about your female/obedience training!
Holy Moley! One toke over the line....if you ask me!
