I was thinking about beefing up my garden soil by planting a cover crop. I may be too late in thinking about it but I hope not. Someone suggested fava beans or hairy vetch but anything considered a cover crop would probably help. Any suggestions or thoughts?
too late for a cover crop?
I'm in zone 7b and have already decided that it's too late here to plant a cover crop of red clover. If you have a seed packet, see what that suggests for your location.
Rye or wheat will probably still work.
I picked up some rye seed from the feed store this afternoon! I was determined to get something in. Thanks!
