What's for dinner?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I asked years ago.

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

LOL! Pixie, your going to have to open up the "Hotel Celeste" for all your fans :-)

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

could be crowded - i am bringing my own plate, knife and fork

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

You can sit on the rocks outside. ^_^

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

there will be no rocks outside after i show up

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

In that case you can have a doggie bag.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I asked before all you were born!! Me first! Me first!

I'm so mature. : )

Marinated tuna steaks last night with brown rice and fresh garden salad.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'm older than you, Harp!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I asked when God made Earth!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow - you ARE old!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

You guys are FUNNY.
Didn't they build a new shed, they'll just have to make it a guest house?

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I have a tent and they've got 15 acres. I'm set.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Mmmm! That tuna steak sounds good! (DW doesn't care for fish, sigh..) but she'll eat flounder if I make it as bland as can be & smother it with tartar sauce! lol!

- Italian style pot roast tonight.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No fish for me either, except tuna. Never tried a tuna steak though.

South Hamilton, MA

I am a 'non-fisher' as well. I can take flounder. I like scallops but not other shellfish.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Fold over pizza last night. Steak tonight.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

What's a fold over pizza?

Pixies is getting mighty crowded.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

It's a pizza that's folded over in half. DD had a taco one and we had a steak one. Think sub with pizza dough instead.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Sounds good! My daughter makes a pizza enclosed in dough that's really good. She calls them pizza rolls, but they're not really rolled. The dough is just folded over the fillings and baked.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Yup, that's a foldover.

Triad(for a few more, NC(Zone 7a)

turkey pot pie and biscuits.

Thomaston, CT

Why does Pixie's dinner always sound so darn good? We had fresh brisket, beer -braised with potatoes, parsnips, & the last of my carrots---my sister brought a salad. Last of the banana-orange-choc. chip cookies for dessert, except Mom had to have a sugar free dessert. That probably is the last 'big' meal for the week!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Beer-anything sounds good!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Is a foldover pizza more like a calzone or stromboli?

Salmon steaks tonight

Love tuna steaks, love seafood...love food....not too much I won't eat, I'm surprised I'm not fatter than I am.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Origami pizza??

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Holy Cow!! I'm going to have a housefull aren't I? Blushing here!!
Thats OK, it will remind me of my Grandmothers camp in the summer. Sunday family dinner's were always between 15-22 of us. ^_^

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

chicken soup here

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Tell Brian he needs to curb his diet so we can eat!

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Oooh! Careful Victor! Don't want Brian to give us the boot!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

WC2, the tuna steaks were delicious. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Marinated-Tuna-Steak/Detail.aspx

I love fish, not too big on shellfish, especially after I heard about how they're bottom feeders and hang out near the sewage outlets. I don't eat veal on principle. Much to my DH's horror, I'm not a big black pepper fan. Other than that, I like most everything.

I'll be your sous chef, Celeste, so you can feed Brian and everybody else! LOL... maybe you should open up a business... call it Mama Celeste. LOL!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Yummy!!! Thanks for the recipe!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

It was so good WC. In fact, it was you that made me go get tuna steaks after you posted about how you went to Trader Joes and got Ahi tuna. I found myself in Trader Joes on Friday and they didn't have the ahi, but I got plain steaks, then found this recipe. Yum!!!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

lol! thanks, but that was wha, (Bill). ☺

- (I got Kingfish earlier in the thread.) I'll eat Kingfish, Porgies, Red snapper, Bluefish and freshly caught Mackerel. Love Tuna and Salmon shushi too! Never tried marinated tuna but that's going to change real soon now thanks to you!

- As for shellfish my #1 favorite is Alaskan King Crab, lobster is a distant second, but I only eat it a couple of times a year, shrimp is in last place, but I don't care for it unless it's fried in batter.

I get a plate of freshly shucked raw oysters with lemon, (on ice), from the fish market a couple of times a year too! (that's just plain decadent with some Salmon Caviar, plain soda crackers and champagne on the side! hee hee!)

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Oops! Sorry Bill! Sorry WC! Did Bill also say his wife doesn't like fish?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Jen - how about a new thread? We need to know what Celeste is making.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

yes my wife hates anything from the water, salt or fresh - all in here head - she attacked a shrimp dip once until she found out what it was

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'm with her! (Except for store tuna.)

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

haddock for lunch today

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Had what?

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

he he...

Bill, your wife is missing out!

I wonder if the pork chops have thawed enough for dinner tonight. If so, I'll be making pork chops, applesauce and dumplings!

Hmmm... just checked. They're not. Guess we'll have that tomorrow night. Looks like leftovers tonight.
