Will constant rain rot bulbs?

Hot Springs Village, AR(Zone 7b)

About a week ago I planted several hundred bulbs, and since then we've had almost constant rain. Our soil doesn't have a lot of clay and drains well under normal conditions (and we live on the top of a small hill), but is it possible for so much rain to rot the bulbs even if the water is just passing through?

As long as the beds drain well, and the bulbs are not "standing" in water they should do fine. We get a lot of rain down here, and my bulbs seem to handle it just fine. There are a few species that need dryer conditions, (mostly desert and african) like caladiums, but in general, as long as the soil is draining they should be fine.
