Just wondering if anyone knows of... or has resources to Intervention, Rehab, or the 1-800 number for the Seed and Plant addict like myself? It's a long hard road to contain myself...
I keep picking seeds, buying plants, researching, storing, searching, and acquring more. And I have more then I can sow in a lifetime. I Rob Peter to Pay Paul to buy new bulbs, seeds, and plants.
My little 2 year got a hold of one of my seed drawers and dumped some...her Daddy said, "RUNNN BABY HIDE!!!!"
I dream about plants. There must be some help out there?
12 STEP PROGRAM - Help Needed
I did a 12-step program once, but darn it, every step lead right back to another plant!
I've come to the conclusion that being an addict means doing something self-destructive. Instead, we plant people are helping to rehabilitate our environment, aren't we? We're planting trees and plants that help cleanse our air and beautify our world. We don't need rehab--we are rehab therapists for our world! (Ok, ok, so I've gotten creative in my denial. :-) )
Heyyyy I like that!!! "Rehab Therapist" I feel better already :-)
Ummmm I guess you have long forgotten the 1-800 number???
There is a name for this affliction. LOL

Ha ha ha ha LMBO!
Yup - it's rampant here in the Southwest and looks like it's spreading across the country - LOL!!
Thats a riot
It's coming your way, watch out!
Too late I needed it last year.
Now I just give in and look for another place to put a plant in.
I call myself a seedaholic or a plantaholic. My garden is stuffed so full now. I need to have some lawn, for the dogs, but that is getting smaller. I had grown so many bulb seed and these little threads were doing nothing in their containers, so I converted another portion of the lawn into a place for the little bulbs. Some have now flowered, others getting on with growing and I have less to look after. Pots take time to look after. I had grown so many more common plants that I just put all I did not want and could not sell into my pickup and took them to friends who live on a smallholding and said here is a gift. I see them soon and wonder how they are doing. Many of my friends' gardens look like mine - my giveaways. Just like Kim-M I just cannot miss out on anything. I get so excited about a new bulb flowering that I wish all my friends could come and look at it. End Sept I bought another Crinum bulb (Boophanoides) not really expecting it to flower for quite a while. After a week I found a place to plant it and found it had a large bud coming along. This flowered and didn't last too long and now I see another flower spike. So exciting.
Wow, Kim! There really is no hope for you . . . But at least you're surrounded by friends who can definitely relate!
My family thinks I'm nuts and I bit off more then I can chew.... because they are City folks. And don't cut grass. They have NO IDEA the kind of heaven I'm going to be in for buying this home :-).
MORE PLANTS FOR ME!!!!
and more This is from the back of property towards along the front of the trailer into part of the shade area. The trees are maple trees. I plan on putting raised beds along the fence with planter boxes along the front of the trailer. There will be a gravel walkway from the front to the back. Anyone have any other idea. Behind the trailer near the back fence I have marked for elderberry bushes.

Ohhhh well I guess you can hop my train! ha ha ha. Looks like we'll be happy campers in the Spring. I can't wait!
Looks like lots of space for large plants and trees and bushes.
Kim -- with 3 acres of open land, I'm thinking that you should probably host a "convention" for us addicts. We can come congregate on your land, and discuss our habits and addictions, and perhaps help you cope with your's. To make the event easier on you, we can probably manage to bring our own shovels and seeds ... I mean, chairs and canopies. :-)
