I have new 5'X5' Jasmin Espalliers. The leaves started turning brown and falling off the day after the nursery planted them. We then drilled holes in bottom 4" gravel then dirt and added saucers. The discoloring stopped for a few days and now it started again. There is new growth but a lot of leaves fall off every day. I water in the center only every 5 days. Is this too much or to little?
Could the problem be acclamation to the new enviroment? They are 15 gallon plants and have been growing for about 6 years (I am told)
I am puttng a few images here also.
Thanks so much ANYONE
jasmin espallier problems
i don't quite understand the post. were they taken out of their pots and planted directly in the ground or are they still in the pots, sunk in the ground, with saucers underneath? any plant will take a little time to acclimate and a newly planted plant needs watering more often than an established plant, especially if it's really big like these seem to be.
