Here's a pretty one.
WESTERN HUMMINGBIRDS VOL.7
Wow, that's alot of birds you guys feed. Pretty picture.
Just hang a neon sign and open up a birdie drive-in-
"Sweeties" sounds like a good name.
Bet you had to explain why you were buying all that sugar and
its not for cookies.
Happy for them you are doing that and helping them on their journey,
so I'll be their spokesman and say "Thank you"
Have a great day and gone for a couple of days.
dirt wonderful shots! loved the #7213686 to see all the feathers was really neat.
Beautiful shots guys!
I love that first shot!
Nice ones duc!
Their so cute duc!
Gorgeous, duc. So clear.
Love hummers in the rain B'sNana,
Great shots Duc
This little female was after the last of the bean's flowering.
They were in there most of the summer. Got to get me red-flowering beans
like I saw in the contest photos-- don't know much about them.
Up the fence is the last of the hollyhocks, things are winding down as the
nights are long and colder. Was a great season for them and hope they aren't too
spoiled. Huckleberries and soapwort are blooming and mahonia is almost ready to give them
more flower power: sage. hyssop and salvia are thin and cape fuchsia declining. Time to be
cooking up that sugar water and designing a better hummingbird warmer than last year.
Great days all.
Dirt, your little lady looks like it has some buff coloring. Could it be a young Rufous? She sure is cute!

Nice one Dirt!
G'Morning Duc, Thanks Pelle
Not sure but thinking shading may give her a rufous appearance--
(maybe its the season's hot look)
I'll keep an eye out, there's three males playing DOMINATION now,
the fully mature guy sneaks in the feeder at the window when the
other two are haymaking, gets on the arbor and promptly scooted.
Off-topic-- deer. Reading about one of Robert Kourik's book got
me to his web site and in the middle of this page he talks of a
deer resistant fence and garden that just looking at the photograph
gives you an idea what he is presenting and may be helpful. Think he
is NoCal.

Nice ones BN! She is a beauty!!
They are very pretty duc!
Very nice pics dirt!
Wow, Dirt, love that last photo of all the blooms! you did a great job with the flash on your babies. Love the yoga moves and posing too! Just one last hollyhock blooming? I still have several that the hummers are enjoying. Looks like you have plenty of choices in other blooms to keep them occupied.
This guy looked colorful.
