Dee
on GW mike showed how to do the peatmoss for cuttings, I don't know how far back in the post you have to look, but I am sure he posted it one time, maybe we can get him to post it here
Elizabeth
Bon Bon Blooming in the Greenhouse today
Yes, Elizabeth , it is pretty, I loved Mike's double up there that was the Apricot color, didn't you. I just have a weakness for the
orangey ones. I love them.
Charleen
oh, I hope he does.
Dee
I think the peachy/orange ones are going to be my favorite.
Dee
Me too, Dee. I do so love the pale pink one I had but when she turned darker she was
Even prettier. Yes, I hope he links us too.
Charleen
Dee
then you will love New orleans Lady, it is peachy/orange, next spring I might have a clipping for you, for a double it's one of the best, if you like that color
Elizabeth
Charlene
you will love the Apricot moonflower, for a single it's Georgeous, I haven't had a Brug Bloom that smelled as good as Versa color Orange, I took 2 clippings today, I put it in the basement in a vase, you can smell it at the top of the stairs
I took the clipping about 2'O'clock it still had scent
Elizabeth
Yes, Elizabeth, I remember your pic of her. I thought she was soooo pretty!Whooopee, thanks. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.
I went searching on the brug forum on GW,for peat moss, and couldn't find it
Dee
Very pretty Charleen. Love your birdbath, too.
Dee
did you see the frog?? up by the fence.DEE
Charleen
I didn't notice him, till you mentioned it.Awwwwwww.
Dee
Charlene
that's beautiful, that's why my DH doesn't mow the lawn, he mowed mine down, I don't know if they will grow here, but I know they didn't have a chance with him mowing, so now I do the mowing
Elizabeth
Do either one of you girls grow azaleas? They always die on me, but I got 3 on sale... real cheap, so I decided to try them one more time...
Dee

Elizabeth

Elizabeth
Those are soo pretty, Charleen. I wish they were easier to grow here.I planted mine in a protected site. Maybe that will help.
Dee
Dee
Mikes instruction is really good, it works really well
Elizabeth
mine was probably blocking yours, Dee. it 's a natural Azalea
that grows down here Elizabeth, isn't it lovely?? I have some blooming now.
they rebloom in the fall.
Charleen
I'll keep trying to see it, but I can't get it to go right now.Don't know if it's the puter, or the GW...doing fine here.
Dee
Nope, I still can't get it...did you see it ok, Charleen?
Dee
That was a neat site. That is very close to what you told m, Elizabeth.
That was good, wasn't it, Dee??
Charleen
I'm gonna reboot and see if I can get it then...BRB
Dee
Charlene
I have been using the peatmoss ever since 2007, it was funny, I had these clippings in water after about 3 days, they started smelling awful, so I emptied the buckets of water in the basement, the guys installing my washer & dryer, poor things they had to come up for air, it smelled like rotten vegatation, that's when I decided to use the peatmoss, it has worked well ever since
Elizabeth
Finally got ...Great to see pics of it..
Dee
Dee
there's also a method called BoB, buckets of Brugs, where you use a fishtank bubbler in water, to keep you clippings form smelling, a lot of people use that also
Elizabeth
I hadto put Cinnamon powder this afternoon, it helps fight infection. The EE I don't want anything to happen to them, I have been watching them. I know I worry too much but Spring is a long way off and I want them to make it. Now, that is wht I smell.
Charleen
Dee
glad you got to finally see it, good info. it helps to see pic's of it, very good illustration
Elizabeth
Charleen, are any of the EE's sprouting yet? you would not believe the itty bitty starts that I stuck in a pot together, and they are coming up..a lot littler than some I sent to you..
Dee
Charlene
good idea, cinnamon is a great smell, they come out with those cinnamon coated pinecones at Christmas time at Lowes, I can't believe they have Christmas trees up & it isn't even Halloween yet, even though it's my favorite time of year, besides Spring
Elizabeth
Elizabeth, on my NOID, I had two good super straight trunks, so I cut them both off, and stuck them in a bucket of water, because I was short on moss, and they are getting nubbies. I have just been changing the water everyday..
Dee
They sure do have Christmas trees up at Lowes, Home Depot , WalMart and Lord knows where else.
They exploint Christmas. But I still love it. So Could be worse.
Charleen
I love Christmas, too, but they do start too early..
Dee
The tuberroses look like they are sprouting new groth and maybe the Persian palm., Dee.
Dee
if you change the water everyday, you should be fine with it, but that smell of roted vegatation smells awful, changing the water everyday is a good idea
Elizabeth
Charlene
if your tuberoses bloom I want to see a Pic, mine's not doing anything but getting bigger
Elizabeth
