planting bower vine

I am in chandler, ariz. i just bought 2 bower vines about 2 1/2 ft. tall when i plant them am i supposed to untie the vines and from the stake and tie them to the lattice or should I wait a certain amount of time? Any response will be appreciated.

If you are very careful you can gently take off the stake first and wrap the clinging tendrils onto the lattice. You will have to monitor it for a few days and make sure it's starting to grab on to the lattice. This is what I have done before. It takes a lot of patience.
