Bill would have the same reaction to my weeds.
Garden Photos #45
My summer weeds have changed from 'weed' status to 'volunteer' status. They're still green in my mostly brown garden. I might even water them.
Too funny, Dnut---I still have a few things blooming---3 clumps of purple asters look nice in amongst the yellow foliage of the other stuff.
nice Jen
Ahhh truly the Garden State. Do you ever get frost?
Tonight down to 30
But I still have roses, yarrow and mums and that azalea is still blooming.
great picks everyone
nice - ripping out the rest of the marigolds here today
We got out first frost last night. Here is what is left of color around here:

Which Coleus is that?
It looks like a Neuguini impatien to me.
It would have been beautiful with lantana.
Thanks Ge. I think you are right, that was a hardy impatience. It was pricey but bloomed all summer with huge blooms. I think that coleus may be either Defiance or Brillance. My memory is going the way of my blooms :-)
Beautiful white flower.
Peacock Orchid is what I call them the white one, I really think they are so neat looking.
Bill would have to have a triple bypass if he saw all my weeds!
Nice, Jen and JJ! Celeste, I love that lily!
Not much color left here, either, and most of the leaves are down, except for the oaks and some leaves on the silver maple. So sad!

Great Jo Anne! Lots of talented people on Dave's!

Thanks Karen ,I think small birds will like it
Hello all, been lurking, but not posting. So enjoying the banter and the great shots.
Ge1836 that bird house turned out to be fabulous.
Karen, that frog picture is amazing.
Here are a couple of collages of stuff still strutting it's stuff in Nantucket. Rose Mordens Sunrise with a Gaura. Rose Tropicana. Rose Marmalade skies and Rose Flutterbye. Patti
Wow! So beautiful--you take good pics too! What are the little white flowers that look like butterflies?
Thanks, that is a Gaura which I think is G. Karalee Petite Pink that I bought in Vt in May of 2007. And My DH took these pictures this morning for me. I am about to go take some more, but his are often way better than mine. He snaps many for me and I record and store them all.
Here is another collage of some others still blooming, including another Gaura which is Siskiyou Pink, then a couple of unknown chrysanthemums that keep returning that I pinch back until July 4th each year, then the classic Rose called New Dawn that I moved a couple of years ago, but some grew back. The spoon chrysanthemum is called Ivory Pinwheels which I think is stunning that I planted in June of 2008 from a Bluestone 1/2 sale and the last is a rose that I will have to check for the name that is attached to the plant as I think I have it listed wrong in my journal. Pretty thing. It bloomed well during the summer too. All for now. Patti
Very pretty, Patti! Yes - my gaura is still blooming too.
