Wow, so many great bird photos....I've been away so long I won't even try to comment all of these pics so I'll wait until the next Daily Pics to post my pics....But i will say that birding has been slow but the Chickadees and Titmouse activity is beginning to pick up...Cardinals have decreased; I can hear Blue Jays way up in the Oak trees but they never come down close enough for a pic. I heard some type of Wren today (it sounded like a frog) but couldn't get a good picture. I also saw my first White-throated Sparrows of the season and expect Dark-eyed Juncos any day. I can hear Northern Flickers but they have not come down to the ground where I can see them.
Can't wait to get some good pics to add to the great ones here...

Hi Dave...yours is either a female or an immature White-crowned. They are very numerous in our area now and will be the last to leave next spring. I love their cheerful singing that is heard all over our farm!! I have a shot also of the immature that I was getting ready to post on the new thread here http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1050927/ .
