Good Morning everyone! Today is raining like crazy...boo-hoo...that means I stay indoors and try and look busy...LOL! Thanks everyone for your kind comments, we really do have a great group here!
Dave..That is a gorgeous Jay and congrats on the Bald Eagle. You're lucky to have one so close and I expect more great Eagle shots from you!
GP..So glad your Indigo's have shown up...I haven't seen one in over a week! That Grackle shot cracks me up, I didn't know they ate peanuts!
Duc...Nice shooting and I love the many Goldfinch shot..it would be lovely framed.
Dirt...Love the Flicker!
Pelle...Sounds like you're having a great time! Is the White-throated a first of life for your? Take lots of pictures and stay safe.
Tiger...I am envious of your Brown Creeper...I have never seen one but am still looking!! I like how you got that tail shot.
Hack...Congrats on the new camera gear...have fun with it and post more shots!!
Nanny...Love the Red, White and Blue presentation!! And to answer your question, yes I will never forget the first time the Blues showed up to drink from the blue bowl!!

Oh rose. thanks for the Meadowlarks!
Dirt, great Flicker picture.
GP, your pretty Grackle is skinny. Do you think it's an immature bird? Nice variety of birds!
Rose, love that BB picture-such a colorful bird. Your wp is beautiful. Poor baby really thinks it was doing good storing the peanuts. Glad your DH blocked the hole. I wonder if the wp will try to pull the twig out? That Meadowlark is a beauty too. The Titmice are adorablel.
Here's a Great Egret flying by.
Wow, so many great shots.
d-rose - I haven't ever seen Flicker of any kind, maybe one day . . . and the pair of tufted titmice on the hanging feeder looks good.
dave - that blue jay almost "bit off more that he could chew." and the eagle was something!
t-lily - I've never seen a Brown Creeper, cool shot.
nanny - looks like you have your fair share of blue jays. And I had a White-breasted Nuthatch show up a few days ago, but haven't seen it again. I've always, and still do, have quite a bit of Carolina Chickadees.
dirt - what a pretty flicker.
g-pom - I got to look closer at my doves, your white-winged one is nice.
duc - yes, that Yellow-rumped Warbler sure did look cute.
Mrs_Ed - nice snap of the Junco
I enjoyed all the photos.

Playing around with the Canon 40D and 70-300mm IS USM lens.
All the following shoots are from a distance of about 25-27 yards and have been cropped and enhanced by Picasa.
Here's a male house finch enjoying a meal.

Dave that hawk looks regal, but you and your BB's simply amaze me.
I imagine the temps up there are dropping, do your BB stay year round?

Ohhh, such lovely shots folks. You done good! ;-)
The Ruby-crowned Kinglets have arrived here, and are just everywhere. I saw but one Golden-crowned, but it wasn't cooperative, constantly flitting.
The Rubies were ever still enough for photos a few times today, and one took a bath in front of me. I'm still sorting and editing, but here's a few shots for you.
Great shots everyone!!!
Some people found a Very rare bird for New Jersey, a Sage Thrasher found in Sandy Hook. Picture here at Flickr. I love hearing about and seeing rare birds!
