rebound pansy

Could someone explain to me exactly what a rebound pansy is? I live in zone 6 If planted outdoors, do they come back the next year? Can I plant them in pots inside?

I do believe rebound pansies are those that go dormant over the harshest part of winter and start to grow again in spring.
