Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Well, I will have to look at these tiny plants when I empty their pots. Maybe they will be too small to divide up now.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

I'm back from shopping.

Trina you and venice buy plants I buy CANDY! 7bags of milky ways,5 bags of 3 musketeers,2 bags of spooky nerds, 3 bags of M&M's, and 1 bag of skittles.

Breathe Lynnie!! I am taking them to work with me in the morning and leaving them in the deep freeze at the house I clean until Halloween.

I picked up 6 bags for my sister so only 12 are mine.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

JJ, ONLY 12??

I guess I have 6 babies!

(Zone 5b)

good lord JJ how many trick or treaters do you get? *grin*

I was cruising around DG Trina, and some other sites....also doing laundry.

Keaau, HI

Hey Carol, it is fine to divide up the Bromeliads into individual pots. Or if it is a colony, put it in a larger pot.
Cutting the leaves before the plant is done with them can impede the plant's ability to feed itself.

Now who was wanting to steal plants?

no plants in the house Lynnie? Not even one? We would never kick you off the island for it though. I've always had them in the house, never outside.

I thought we had a lot until I saw Trina's house.

Venice, It does sound like you're getting the sickness....

(Zone 5b)

lol Dave...hey i was looking up frogs, maybe my wall climbing frogs are eastern tree frogs.....

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I would never steal someone's plants Dave.

That one on the left, Dave, can I have that one?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Trina, I think they need to grow up a bit and make sure their roots are established. Three of them had their fine roots come off but there was something that looked like short roots at the bottom of the plant.

I wonder if they are the vase type that need to be watered at the center.

Maybe Moon or Dave will drop by and let me know.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Nice knife collection Dave!
yeah well by tomorrow afternoon unless you go looking for them you wont notice the plants!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I was looking at frogs a while ago too, Lynnie. Yours looked more translucent than anything I was looking at, it had me stumpedified.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Nice babies Venice.

I usually have alot of trick or treaters. Steve hands out candy and he gives 3 to 4 bars ea.
I take the grandkids out trick or treating ands all homemade popcorn balls are mine.

I am a big Halloween fan. Make them kids stay out until the last second. Fill that bag!!!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Dave, I just couldn't help myself and I cut off the brown and damaged leaves. I know I have heard you say it before and not to do it. But I could hardly divide them up with those lanky leaves all over.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

We get a lot of kids at our house too, but I'm cheap. Smartees and other non-chocolate candy. And mini play doh for some of them especially cute ones you can tell their parents don't want them to have all that candy.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Dave, do I water them in the center?

(Zone 5b)

I had house plants years ago, when we moved here I was pregnant & had my activity limited due to pre term labor, the plants got moved to the garage but never inside...they died before I could get to them....then I had babies in the house....then my sister left a plant here (it was a present for her) and i managed to kill it.....I haven't tried since. I have the potted shrubs in the garage I may move in...but they get more sun where they are.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Venice stop messing with the leaves!

(Zone 5b)

yeah Smiley i read that the eastern tree frog changes color, I don't know what color you'd call the one I posted...she(?) was on a white wall in the dark. A weird brown/green.
Venice will send that plant the way of Wilty *grin*

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

mine would probably be dead if it weren't for Bill. He keeps the inside plants alive. I found myself in the sunroom today checking out the stuff we brought inside and started watering. Then I had to stop, 2 people taking care of plants doesn't work.

Before we lived together me & my mom lived on the 10th floor of a high rise on the Niagara River. The whole living room wall was glass (w/sliding glass door). She had all these plants over there. When she moved out and Bill moved in he took over the plants and found that over 1/2 of them were dead.

But they looked good over there, couldn't tell unless you got up close.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Lynnie its nothing for us to have 70 or more kids depending on the weather.

This town is little and when you take out the elderly that can't hand out candy and the cheap a.... that both parents take kids out so they don't have to hand any out. Oooh better not get started on that.

Lets just say I am a firm believer in you ought to give if you expect to get candy.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Well I'm heading out. Everyone have a good night!

I'll have the coffee ready...

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I already messed with them! But I was finised cutting them before I came back on here.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Night Smiley

Venice your as bad as me

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Night Smiley! Have a good evening and peaceful sleep!

Keaau, HI

Not sure about the frog Lynnie. The closest thing I could find that looks like that is a Spring Peeper, Hyla crucifer. Are there swamps or ponds near you? I'm not real good with critter ID.
