Brain not hitting on all cylinders so we get a repeat title. I found this pic and thought it was pretty....not one of mine, public domain pic.
FROST ON GYPSIES....part 2
very vool pic!
JJs, enjoy cartoons with the little one...before ya know it cartoons will be gone and they want PG13. Grin
Smiley, I am usually first up and last down...never could sleep when the kids were out.
Lynnie, I know Smiley is thrilled to have you back for early coffee klatch....hope the birthday leftovers aren't too bad...no brains on the carpet or furniture....grin
I thought it was a fine picture...I was looking for one I had of my orange tree leaves coated in ice, but can't find it anywhere....may be hiding on the PC....
Hello you early birds!!!
Aloha kakahiaka Dave! Here we are freezing and then seeing your pictures, they almost made me cry! Your boots looked really comfy!
It is 33 degrees here in Indy. And the sun is even out!! BUT it is going to warm up to 55 today! Monday 60, Tuesday 65, and Wednesday 70 degrees!!!!!! We have had 23 days straight below normal. Great days for digging and mulching!
Trina, it must be warmer over your way. Maybe you can get Austin to help you get those daylillies and bulbs planted. That is the least he can do since you are the one who earned him that A grade in homework!
I wish we had photos of that cool kids party.
Moon, you selected a cool photo!
Kitty wants outside. Have to clip coupons and fix some breakfast.
See you later!
Hiya Lynnie! Good Morning Miss Moon!
We have nice sunshiny days ahead of us this week, highs between 55-65! Time to get all those last-minute outside chores done.
no carpet lol so that's easier...floor is pretty sticky, though, just peeled a couple tootsie rolls off it. Gotta send out the robots. I put the candles in the jello brain & told the kids there was no cake just brains, made them sing happy birthday & asked them which part of the brains they wanted *grin*
one of the kids dropped our camera in water, we're trying to fix it. I did manage to get a few shots of frogs on the garage in the rain the other night (can't remember when exactly that was, a week or two ago?) I'll find them....
note to all selves, when a camera or cell phone gets a bath, put in a ziplock baggie with rice. read that in an article about that exact same thing.
there were 2 babies with this bigger frog, the other pics were a little blurry...
oh Venice, been meaning to post this for a long time, kept forgetting...
plastic disposable knives and a permanent sharpie are good plant markers.
Hi Smiley, my husband's a computer geek, the camera went to his work.
Venice we did donuts on a string yesterday and I secretly held back a chocolate one and I just had that for breakfast..mama needed a treat ;)
that's your "toll charge" Lynnie, for hosting the party!
I like that frog, Lynnie.
Well, time to go check out the world. Everyone have a good day.
Good to see you all this morning. Hope everyone's weather decides to cooperate.....we are having a few evenings in the 40's and 50's and daytime highs in the 60's and 70's.....yep, Fall in Louisiana....grin
Good on you Lynnie...Treat for the Treater....grin and it was chocolate....(cute froggie)
Smiley. On one of those rainy days we had, I took a few of the small black nursery pots, cut them into strips and used a white grease pencil(china marker) and viola'...plant tags. I have used the plastic knives before also....good idea and cheap too....grin
Hey Venice, Good Morning....I do not envy your freezing temps...glad it is warming up.
Grasshoppers are evil critters in my book.
Have a good day, Smiley.
Wait til things get wound up at your house, Lynnie....then leave for the gym.....grin
Good morning everybody! Aloha aku!
Hey Lynnie, what kind of frogs are those? I don't remember frogs crawling up buildings when I lived back East.
hello everyone sorry about the broom! LOL
Hi Trina! What broom? I missed that.
you know I'm a witch I ride a broom...LOL so is it raining there again?
It got back up in the low 70's today now that my garden looks like a graveyard for plants! Think I'll play that for Halloween!
ok give me some common names of plants I can grow in very very low light, pretty please?
Moss, Liverwort, Algae, Slime Mold.
ha I see you! I like the broom! and very funny I have caladiums and arrow head and that philo/pothos thing I think they'll do all right in there
Trina, see . . there is a photo of Dave!!!
What are you considering low light?
Many forest understory plants could work, such as Peperomia's, Ferns, Fern Allies.
the room gets sun only through a double door opening that is offset 5 feet from center from sun up unil about 11am
I see venice and yeah like Dave
Dave, aloha kakahiaka to you also! It looks like it is sunny in your part of the world! Nice balcony, up in the trees. Cool!
Is there any nice indoor plants or flowers that need low light?
Moon, as you know, I have a lot of pots! That is a good way of marking plants by cutting up pots. Where would I get a china marker? I think that would last longer outside? Have you used them outside?
Smiley, I did use plastic-ware for some plants until they died!
Lynnie, nice photos of your little critters!
just a good thing I can't hear him speak
Hi Carol! That photo was at a friend's house two years ago.
Trina, what do you think of those plants? I think you already have at least a couple peperomias maybe even in your pot with a dozen plants. But I read that there are 1500 species of peperomias! Baby rubber plant is one of them. I can't remember the other names and couldn't find a site with all the photos of them. I hate it when they only describe a plant and don't even have a photo of it!
still very nice Dave
LOL Trina!!!
Dave, that is a very nice house! I can almost imagine that you are living in a 1-2 room house! Soon another room! Am I close?
yeah I got a couple that fit that bill that can go in there...I got some little booklets on Passifloras I'm drooling over the flowers in them
Are those some of the ones you want to get?
( nudging in way in here ) Good Afternoon Carol, Trina & Dave.
oh I wish I could. It's the Passiflora Society Newsletter, there are some really spectacular looking ones in here! Mostly though from Mexico and Belize
hey Julie
Some of the passiflora's are so pretty! No, let me correct that, all of them are. I would want to hang out and watch my flowers grow if I had any more of them.
Well, I'd rather do that anyways.
