It really is time to travel....grin
GYPSIES AND MOONGLOW
know I want a whole mess of them!
They are nicer than what we thought they were!!! So cool!!! Did you see that link to how they were arranged in the pot? I really liked them that way.
I am fairly sure that mine aren't planted deep enough. Many of them were connected so I left them that way. I should have just cut them. They have a chunk of a root.
me too! I have a chuppy biting my toes and a gremlin trying to bite my fingers
its friday everybody must have dates
Trina, never told you how good you were to finish Austin's homework! That was a big job especially so late at night. By the way, I don't really bake any more or even have people share their's with me. So anytime you have a little, very little, something, it would be so much appreciated!!
I think I have a date with Moonshine!!!
LOL venice, no need to worry I will send you plenty of goodies then, cause I like baking and sharing!
You are very kind and generous!!!
I went outside and picked out a pot for the Moonshine. It is too cold and misting so I will repot it tomorrow. It is going from a 12" pot to an 8" pot.
I really wished we all lived closer together. it would be fun to get together and bake for the holidays, craft around and garden around.
is there a picture of the (I know I'm gonna spell this wrong) sansaveria with the flower? I must have missed a link somewhere!
i wish I'll ask Norma if she'll post one over on that thread, she said there trying to bloom again
and yes smiley I wish we all lived closer too!
I found one on Venice's link to the plant files. Nice flower. Bill had one for years but I don't think it ever flowered. Not that kind, the regular common one. Maybe the regular common one doesn't flower.
They need a ton of sun to bloom. Most folks don't realize that they love sun until about 2 or 3 in the afternoon. In the ground they can handle all day sun.
i just want everything...more plants, a vacation...but mostly this blasted headache to go away
full sun got it....I know right where I'm gonna put it!
man you people talk alot lol Had to take a bath and get dressed to go two miles down the road to the store` They need to make them all drive throughs!!!!! Dixie Reasei is so cute got a few of them and boy can they keep you hopping. Smilely sorry Angela didn't make it she sure is pretty enough. I see you all have made Venice turn to the moon shine Shameeee. Moon glad you put a light in the sky we don't want that vision of Dixies poll dancing again lol. Well move the coffee table I'm gonna do a cartwheel Trina got more PLANTSSS snicker snort
LOL flowers like I said earlier though I got to this website through searching for asian pear tree and yellow pear tomato seeds....I've gotten a lot of plants and seeds since coming here but still haven't gotten those....LOL
Hey Flowers...how are you this evening? I would like to see the landing on that cartwheel when your body realizes what you just did to it....lol
yeah no kidding, Moon!
yea think my cartwheel days are over ha ha Trina I don't know about you. Still think you will have to start a nursery. They are calling for mix of rain and snow with no accumalation but down to freezing Sun. night. gotta get my fuzzys out for sure.
I want to start a nursery but need to get some other things straightened out first...
does anyone know where I can get white radish seeds...they grow long like carrots and can get huge?
Man now she is gonna start a garden lol Never saw such a thing Trina the only ones I have seen are red
This is the first year I have seen white pumpkins
Hi! I just figured out I need to put my palm and elephant bush in the sun AND save a spot for that moonshine!
When is the darkest day of the year? I can't wait because that means every day after that we will have more sun!
darkest day is december something
Trina, I remember my great grandfather eating that type of radishes!!! I had forgotten all about them. But I would rather have something else other than radishes.

well if my caculations are right Venice since we are skipping autum then summer should begin in January next year WoHooo
I use to garden all the time peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, radishes, green beans, garlic 4 types of onions, 4 types of lettuce....you get the idea
I'm also looking for broomcorn seeds, and Indian corn...blue and painted mountain...they make good flour for chips ( yes I can grind my own corn grandad taught me)
Hey Trina, you might find them listed in Asian seed catalogs as Daikon.
Here is an inexpensive source:

yeah...when we lived in germany they'd spiral cut them, deep fry em and serve em with a little salt....yummy
I tried growing carrots last year. Those are more tricky than you would think. Especially when you have bad soil with stones and on and off rainy weather. They definitely were not edible.
cool Dave thanks!
I really miss my vegetable garden which reminds me wonder how Jims tomatoe and vegi bales are doing. We are due over there for Christmas dinner.
I swear this thing is possessed!
December 21, 2009 is the shortest day of the year, Called the Winter Solstice
I had okra corn cucumbers lettuce peppers tomatoes beans and potatoes and not to forget green onions yummmmm
Deep fried radishes?
Are you going to have a veggie garden in your backyard? Have you killed the weeds yet? How is your soil back there?
I had the supervisor of maintenance here ask me where I was getting so much dirt to put in the dumpster!!! When you have cloddy and yellow soil, I had to do something!
Flowers, no more veggies? Just flowers?
