My whole family loves to go to Renaissance Festivals, often in costume, but my sister bought my mom that t-shirt for the days when she wants to go in "street clothes." My husband wears a kilt to the festivals, so she bought me one that says, "Official Kilt Inspector."

He he he...did I start something?
Remember, Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, but backwards and in high heels.
Thanks for the tee-links!
I am thankful for laughter, except when milk comes out of my nose.
"To a gardener there is nothing more exasperating than a hose that just isn't long enough."
When I was 18, I was surprised at how much my father didn't know. When I turned 21, I was surprised at how much he'd learned in 3 years. Mark Twain
A little late this morning. But good morning just the same. While keeping the dragon theme,(thanks Kathleen)
Tuesday Thought for the Day:
“If you can't take the heat, don't tickle the dragon.”--unknown.
Good one C. Maybe my son will have that epiphany in another couple of years
hang in there Marie. Sooner or later they DO get it. Not always by 21, but sooner or later just the same.
Yeah I know and it can take al ong time. My 23 yr old has not go "it" yet.
As a gardener, I find myself regularly getting complimented for God's work...dp
Good one Randy!!! I am sure to give thanks where it is due in my garden!!!
"I wake up in the dark and hear the screaming of the All caps."
Here's a new quote I just heard, and it made me chuckle:
"I've been just a bubble off of plumb the last few days."
Perfect!
Angie
Oh, Angie, that's priceless!
Randy, my dad used to have a sign up in his study that said something to the effect of, "Quick, teenagers, move out now, while you still know everything!"
I think there was more to it, along the lines of the Mark Twain quote, but I can't remember it all. I've gone way beyond knowing everything to forgetting everything! Is this middle age?
Angie
"Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies." Stephen King, The Shawshank Redmeption.
I don't know any more of the MT quote. If someone can find it, let me know.
I saw a sign once that said "My garden's not dead. It's just sleeping."
This is the actual Mark Twain quote. I couldn't find any more of it though.
"When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years." -Mark Twain
“We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.” Benjamin Franklin
Good ones all!
Marie, you should know better than to drink milk while reading this thread by now. LOL! Loved the quotes, even if I don't have one for you today.

Perfect. Thanks, Doss.

Wednesday Thought for the Day:
This country has come to feel the same when Congress is in session as when the toddler gets hold of a hammer.
(What DesertPirate said)
"Take your cookies when they're passed. When the tray comes around again they may be all gone."
Amen to both!
Old gardeners never die. They just vegetate.
Attitudes are contagious. Are yours worth catching?
Good one, Marie.
kwanjin, I like that one!
I like that one, Marie!
Why do they call it life insurance when they don't give your heirs the money til you die?
My chiropractor asked me why they don't call it death insurance. I don't have an answer for him. He also told me that He plans on taking his money with him when he dies, in Travelers Checks! LOL!
DP that is a scary visual.
Aguane, did you have brothers too? I learned that one fast!
Good one Kwanjin! : - )
Marie, I got to think about it, wise words to contemplate.
This is the best part of my day, thanks all!
WIB!
SW
Yes SW, 2 brothers. I love them even if they got all the cookies!
A final thought before bed...
Where are we going and why am I in this hand-basket?
Good morning boys and girls!

“Nature makes boys and girls lovely to look upon so they can be tolerated until they acquire some sense” --William Lyon Phelps
Man's heart away from nature becomes hard.
