you don't think so.. what? chocolate in the peanut butter? ok, we'll leave yours naked. every now I then you throw in one of those '80's songs - I know your 30-something from a thread way back there.
AC/DC got their name from a sticker on a vacuum cleaner: runs on AC/DC current.
I cheated though, because they're coming to Buffalo and that was a trivia question they had on the radio yesterday.
I think he does it on purpose, Trina.
me too! yeah I'm 35...I even told ya birthday way up there (the terry jacks song)
I didn't figure you get that since I was mostly picking songs from the 50's,and 60's with a few exceptions...
These days it's Nickelback, and the Pussycat Dolls!
I thought the Terry Jack reference might have been your birthday...
I still listen to the old stuff. Sometimes I don't know what the heck my kids are listening to... (now I sound like my mother). Boy actually listens to either old rock or ska, which I can't stand. Girl listens to what the teens these days listen to. She does like Sarah McLachlan, though, who I think has the voice of an angel and is very spiritual.
I'll agree on the sarah thing....lets see my 13 yo boy just discovered AC/DC....and my 14 yo is infatuated with the beatles....every ring tone on his phone is a beatles song, the Juvenile delinquant is actually a classicaly trained pianist and listens to everything although right now he's stuck on Insane Clown Posse, 12 yo girl is into someone called Justin Babier or something like that, and the 19 yo bonce between heavy metal, rap, and 80's hair bands
Boy went through Insane Clown Posse. Yuck. Then he was stuck on System of a Down, another yuck. Then he aged a little and said "Dave Matthews is really good. Did you know that Mom?"
Yes-s-s-s, but some things they need to learn on their own.
i didn't really appreciated AC/DC until I went to a concert in Toronto a few years back. It was when the SARS thing was going on & my Bro called - he had 2 extra tickets. The lineup included The Guess Who (which was my 1st concert in 1972-that's why I wanted to go), Blues Travelers, etc... Justin Timberlake (random), etc... AC/DC and The Rolling Boulders.
When AC/DC came on we were totally blown away. So that was that, I like them now. And The Stones suck in concert so we left 20 minutes into their set. It was a long day with 600,000 people. Never saw so many people in 1 place in my life, and probably never will again.
This thread is too long.....
