she was evil about it like heres one for you
What was President was in office when the natiol debt first started, how much was it, and what was it for?
Madame Roux was a Gypsy, too
Now that's trivia, Dave! Find some that aren't so obvious and see if we can guess who & what they are.
The list started with the plants Trina already had in her house. After that she had 2 long lists. After that, it was just bits and pieces here and there. I did have about half a dozen questions for her this morning to clarify some. Then this morning I went back to old posts and added each plant with names rather than totals for the first 2 long lists. Then I double checked the posts of her seeds/cuttings/plants since then. Now it it easy to add more.
I wish I had a better accounting of my seeds and plants!!!!
The very first national debt? (DH could give you all that info, he's a history buff.) I'll say...Washington, don't know and from the Revolution.
now see Dave's photo brings up another one of her questions
Who was the opening act at woodstock
whew Venice, want a job here?? we need someone to organize this room of parts we have....
Washington was correct for one part of that
I know this... the guy with the deep voice... I can't think, the radio is going... Freedom.... Freedom....
oh crap! and googling is not allowed.
Ritchie Havens. I cheated, but that's who I meant.
again for the woodstock thing I refer you back to Dave's last picture!
And tell me when you give on the first question
Country Joe & The Fish wasn't the first act, were they? Ritchie Havens was, wasn't he? I remember an interview with him saying they weren't ready, and he had to go on, but he wasn't prepared either. So he picked that song & started jamming.
Good afternoon and aloha kakahiaka to you Dave!
I haven't had a chance to look up the names that you gave me of my 2 new tropical plants. The one you were asking about, the ends of the leaves are very pointy and they have a just a bit of brown on the tips. I guess that is from too much sun. I will clean them up, repot them, and take another photo this afternoon. The other ones I got last week look good but then again they aren't growing either.
I give up on the first one.
what were the original words to "yesterday" ? (not all the words, just the "yesterday" part)

Ok so who was supposed to be the opening act
do you give on the first one yet? huh huh?
yesterday all my troubles seem so far away
today it looks as though there here to stay
okok
the first one...George Washington was President, it was $10.00, and it was to a "House of Ill Repute"
We all live in the yellow submarine, yellow submarine, the yellow submarine
good one!
scrambled eggs...
Obla de Obla da lalala life goes on
scrambled eggs?
we had joy we had fun we had seasons in the sun
I get by with a little help from friends
oh I get high with a little help from my friends
George Washington was president when the National Debt started.
It was to pay for the Revolutionary War and the Articles of Confederation.
The Debt was $75,463,476 dollars and 52 cents.
scrambled eggs..... all my troubles seemed so far away-y-y-y...
well, just the scrambled eggs part.
seasons in the sun - Terry somebody?
Okay, who did '96 Tears'? No cheating!
you googled that, Dave. Didn't you?
Reflections of my life? who did that song? anyone besides me remember it? I loved that song.
must... focus....
you guys are my kryptonite when I'm at work
oh wait, that's part of a Todd Rundgren song. (weakness)
that was the second debt! and the one accepted by society as the first debt (mainly cause nobody wants to admit washington patronized a whore house) which is the answer I gave her, and she still wouldn't let me eat! the first one was $10 and it was for him and his generals to celebrate thier victory over the British....and that little fact is extremely hard to find unless you have my mothers GS clearance so it was an evil question for her to ask me at 16 when I was starving and late for school
Which now that I think about it, now I know why everyone tended to think I was older or more mature than everyone in my class (no it has nothing to do with her trivia)
so unlike my mom I give Dave lotsa cookies for a good answer
and it's seasons in the sun Terry Jacks and it was #1 on february 25th 1974
DH has a book of little known history oddities and factoids.
do I get ONE cookie for getting the Terry part right? i just had lunch, now I want something sweet. Only time I really crave something sweet.
I swear my mother use to do research behind our backs to come up with the oddest questions...she even padlocked the fridge so we couldn't sneak in there
Honestly I think she was trying to save on groceries because I'd eat an entire box of cereal and a whole gallon of milk for breakast every morning
The answer was in Wikipedia. I'll take the cookies; thanks!
Trina, do you really think an honest guy like Uncle George would end up in a brothel?
what's your favorite cookie? and yeah you get one!
and its 1 2 3 what are we fighting for......Question Mark and the Mysterians
