good morning
New Garden Projects This Year #5
hello there!!
Ive been awake since 3:30 AM.
Standard time cant come soon enough.
Geeeeezus its a long dark morning.
One more week and I can walk when it's light out!
I wish they would do away with it altogether.
Hi Deb
I know, me too, I'm a morning person too.
joann - i was reading up on your maple last night and learnt that seiryu means "blue-green dragon" according to the timber press guide to japanese maples.
Thats so suitable. The bark is smooth and Lizard colored and with the red yellow fire leaves its a perfect fit.
Those orientals ar so deep.
don't get me going - just watched grand torino again :)
I dont want to get into a THING about this.
ooooh - cat fight???!!
I meant the Zenish orientals.
Zenish??
heh he h heh
Yes Zen types, deep
thoughtful
learned
You know!!!
Gorgeous tree
I think they are called Buddhists. ha, ha. Just giving you a hard time, JoAnn. I get razzed for all the crazy words I make up too!
Be my guest with a "made up word "dictionary
Hmmmmmm.
I loved Grand Torino.
we loved it too karen - although the second time around it was a much better movie/story and not as funny as the first time - i remember reading a story about the opening of the film in Detroit - the audience stayed right through the credits and when "made in Michigan" showed up on the screen at the end they gave it a standing ovation - pretty cool i thought
I like almost anythin Clint makes.
Mystic River is his best.
He's got a new one coming out. I agree about Mystic River, Jo Ann.
Isnt his daughter directing now?
She acted in The Garden of Good and Evil.
Not very good I thought.
Yes, Clint has done a lot of good movies. Either starring or directing he's good.
I have been sick all this week, since Monday. Been out of work all week. Just found out today for sure that it's the seasonal flu. Fortunately I have not been experiencing stomach issues with it, but it's taken a lot of energy out of me.
Karen
hope you feel better karen
Feel better soon!
Thanks! I think I'm starting to feel better. Felt well enough to make a nice chicken dinner tonight at least. The most I've done all week!
Karen

Awww, thanks, Cousin Nut!

Wow, Jo Ann, glad I got a new computer ---your tree is a beauty! I'm drooling now! Booj---loved the orchid---such a pretty purple.
very close to finishing the clearing out back - from all the stumps back there we had lost at least 20-30" ft of yard as the wet lands and woods shot of new brush and trees - this time i dug out all the stumps i could - the ground being so wet it was not too bad - also got rid of 10 or so burning bushes and some wild thorn bushes which i may have moved back there - when the bloom they are really fragrant with little white flowers - gone now - i also had moved several forsythia to mounds of dirt i dropped back there several years ago - it is so wet they rarely flowered and some we barely alive - now they sit pretty high.
this will give an idea of what i had to deal with - the muck and water on the right is where it was - using the metal pry bars i set one behind the rock to keep the from sliding back into the hole - and the other wedged against a large root for leverage and moved it out inch by inch - in the end i drove the bar into the clay soil here and lifted the stone again inches at a time - the clay held enough to get it out
Wow! Nice rock, Bill. I love it! Wish I could find one like that at my place. I'm envious! Lots of work, for sure.
Karen
Looks like a nice table, Bill.
I was thinking the same thing, Victor!
Karen
Or potting bench top!
Or a bench.....!
We're playing multi-thread tag, Karen! You're it. ^_^
You could use it for sacrifices....
