Well my sauce isn't going to make itself. Tomorrow is mom's 83rd birthday, but she comes over on Saturdays, so I'm going to surprise her with a pot of sauce for dinner. With lots of meatballs. I think she forgets to eat, she's awful skinny.

Anyone have Alzheimer's experience? She's following that path, sad to say.

It's tough. It's so more than just forgetting things, I'm finding. They get paranoid, and very child-like. Not selfish, but self-centered. Thank goodness my one brother moved back here from PA, that eases things a little. The other one lives outside Toronto, so we don't see him that much.

But she has fun here. We find an old movie and eat chips and then have dinner. If it's nice out I save some gardening thing for her to do, but not today. Too cold for her today.

Such is life. You can bet I'll keep MY mind active as I get older. I think that helps.

he doesn't, but the brown over his one eye makes him look like he does. He also has one brown ear, and a brown spot on his heiney. Perfect Jack Russell. The breeder had named him little dot, because he has a little brown dot on the back of his head, but now his official name is:

Little Dot Samuel L. Jackson Golba

because he's a badass. Sam for short.

I contacted them about my Newbie seed package. They said they never got my SASBE. So I gave my address and they are sending my package. I am glad I checked.

Not me, Flowers. I have 1 of a bunch of stuff. Except turtleheads. Tons of turtleheads!

Do like the outside plants better, not fond of carrying water twice a week.

DH takes care of the inside plants. We have them all over the place. But that's HIS baby. (although he's trying to change that)

I'll cut ya something with seeds on the end. It's all misshapen anyways. At least I THINK they're seeds. It's where the flowers were that I didn't cut off, and they're seed-pod-ISH.

but that's a good thing. I just read an article about a group going after the toilet paper manufacturers. the softer it is, the more really old trees they cut down to make it. the strands are longer, which makes for fluffier toilet paper.

Been up and outside since daylight...the air is so full of moisture you don't sweat, you drip....more rain coming...I have lost a bunch of bearded irises to the rain this summer...guess I will have to keep the rest in pots...rats, I don't want a bunch of pots to take care of....oh well, Nature didn't ask me what I wanted...grin

nature never does....I think she delights in messing with us!

I have been putting some of my dried seeds in my prescription bottles and labeling them then into a cookie tin. Put my dried basil in a little tin that had gourmet crackers in it. Just the right size. I have some tiny seeds or may be just petals. I don't know what they are so I put them in a wet paper towel in a warm place and it they don't do anything, I am throwing them out.

Trina, I still have you down to send you some seeds. Do you still want them? Will send them later if you want them.
