So funny!!
The drawings are from a quarry in Vernal, Utah near the Dinosaur National Monument. A display of the bison headdress was symbolic of a superior warrior by the Plains Indians.
Nice corn.
Nice picture Metrosideros!!
My best friend has a pic of your uncle on her bedroom wall. How ironic!!
Not my fondest memories...but I recall her coaxing me to take the pic from the local pub and putting it in her backseat.
Thankfully, I wasn't such a willing participant after that ...............
Oooh the memories! *;*
Did they have Dinosaurs over there in HI?
Ooooh! Is that a tooth?
The fossil fish are from Southwest US; the fern is from Pennsylvania, the trilobites are from Morocco, and the cone shaped (maybe cephalopods?) are from Morocco.
I don't think Dinosaurs were on the present Hawaiian Islands as they are too young. Maybe on the remnants of the Northern Hawaiian chain.
Nice fossils and petroglyphs, Allwild!
Good Evening All...welcome Allwild...thanks for joining us and sharing...love the dino feet, maybe we can share with Footless....grin
Dave, right in the swing of things as usual. Love the crystal/minerals/gemstones....shiny things....grin
Lynnie, thought you might have had to go in early. And yes, I pluck the pods off irises and lilies both. The bulbs/rhizomes will put out offsets that will be true to plant, but the seeds can revert. Really just a matter of choice.
JJs, so sorry about the little one...know you were looking forward to a quiet evening. Hope he settles in and sleeps through the night....yeah right...grin
Smiley, forgot to say thanks for making the donation in the Gypsy Rock Band name...too kind of you.
And Venice and Trina, the pods won't hurt the plants, just slow them down a bit, so if you choose to let them ripen, no problem.
There was a question about the fungus picture....took that in Noosa, Australia this summer. Thought it looked really cool. Shelf mushroom of some sort.
The first one appears to be a Gaillardia, Blanket Flower, The second is an Althea, Rose of Sharon,Hibiscus syriacus.
Rose of Sharon is a species of Hibiscus.
Will give it a thumbs up!!! lol
ok well I have a ton of seed for both of those and if the seeds in the pods on yucca plants are good then I have a ton of them too
So there isn't anything as just a hibiscus?
and ballon follwer, and that a blue, a white, and another color rose of sharon
Oh Moon your fingers are to fast I have a blanket flower I Knew that one
Darn
In and out here making salsa keeping little one entertained but he wants his papa and not grandma.
