They are adorable Nanny...lucky you! I'm so glad you had nectar for them!
2009 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds Vol. 9
They are still hanging around..not going anywhere in this weather!!
Congrats Frank! Nice shots!
Nice Frank!
Well… hard freeze last night, so lost some plants. Some other still hanging in there, like the hummingbird mint, honeysuckle and obedient plant. Hope there are not any more stragglers coming through, but I'll keep my feeders out for 2 more weeks in case.
Great photos everyone! I just planted Lantana this year and found my hummers love it too.
Nice ones nanny!
I thought they were all gone because the feeder was getting next to no activity, so I took it down rather than have stale sugar water on offer. Yesterday I saw one enjoying herself among the red salvia. There was a big old crow in the grass about two feet away from her. He seemed to be interested, cocking his head to look at her as she moved among the flowers. Maybe just my imagination, but it did look comical. Nice pictures!
I am jealous of all of you!! LOL!! Haven't seen one forever it seems...hopefully they are safe and sound in Texas or Mexico.
I know. I felt so sad that this one today was still here. Did not stay long. Maybe 20 minutes or so. Hope it's made it's way to southern Illinois by now!
Nice shots Mrs Ed!
At least I think they will still find a little natural food on their trip. We still have some flowers in bloom and I noticed some bugs are still around so I think they are in good shape.
Here is a shot I took on Sept 29 that I just found...it was taken in the Walnut tree and I thought it was kind of funny!
ha. yah, that's awesome
That is cute Rose!
