. what do i do the supports i put under it are not helping .my tomatoe is so huge i think it weighs about 8 pounds or more. i used 4 tomato cages to support the plant any suggestions
would be greatly aprettaed. please help.
very huge tomato
my black brandywine got extremely large this year.. i had the plant tied to stakes and the weight started tearing the vine so we clippd the top ties and set the fruit on upside down 5 gallon pails.
i don't know that you could remove a cage at this point - could you place a board on the cage to rest the tomato on?
Tie it up in a pair of pantyhose and hang it from the top of the cage. Like a melon.
well was wrong about size it only weighs 3 pounds i was off by 5 pounds
this is my tomato
thank u all i will try both suggestions to see which works the best
weighted my tomato last friday it turned out to be 15 oz's not 8 pounds or or 3 pounds like i said it would be. .it was 1oz shy of 1 pound
still a pretty big tomato.. 8 lbs is more like a pumpkin... i assumed you just meant very big...
how did you end up supporting it, is it working out for you?
i used a pot & astep stool to support it
Why is it still green?
