Hi Becky,
Emma didn't mention where she got her original seeds from, or if they just popped up from her own grow outs. The photos of the DFNM from you and Patootie are lovely. I think here at the house, I'll call the "Blue Sugarbritches." :-)
Sarah

That`s funny. I call my morning glories Cuties for small flower and Beauties for large flowers if I don`t have a name. lol!!!

excited over every one that opens. lol
Edited to say mine isn't as pretty as Becky's but I'm hopeful I will end up

Lav Chiffon this morning.
Having a Sr moment Debra, is that Rebecca in your pics?

Thumbnail by patootie
(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

oh boy, well talk about senior moments.. i have two blue silk vines growing.. one on the south gate and one on the north end of the patio, new grow out and first to bloom in that patch.. so sorry for the double post. I am going to quit posting soon.. Jackie your blooms are glorgeous..heh.. yes rebecca is still going, the one from bluespiral has lasted the longest. Rebecca on south fence from emma has expired and pods are all that is left.. rebecca was in the pot before rebecca was in the ground LOL anyway, now rebecca from bluespiral is throwing blue and marroon blooms both..I have posted so many of those blooms, no sense in posting more.. the blue silk I posted on my thread is the same on the second new vine. Soh and Roman Candy and both the mais are still rambling. here is a look at setosa, who has traveled all the way down to the end of the fence going west.. how these two vines started so small in such a small pot have grown so huge and wild is beyond my wildest imagination.. setosa must be at least 20 feet long by now, messina creeper is easy to trim, so I keep that one at bay, she is a sneaky cheek tho.. been trying to catch her pods as they form by the 100s.. as I don't want to have my neighbors' house ate up by my vines.. LOL You can see setosa has wrapped around the giant cleome, climbed the giant white zinnias, and climbed out of and over the messina creeper.. I LOVE setosa..

Thanks Debra, You've had some beautiful blooms this season too.
I think I will have a Rebecca open in the morning. Been waiting a long time for mine to bloom. Your Rebecca's have been lovely in the
different colors.
I will plant a Setosa next yr. I grew one a couple of yrs ago. It
did not make a single seed. Don't know what's up with that.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Mine are popping seeds already.. my I. Lind is about to bloom finally after growing it from seed all winter it has been wonderful to watch..

Very pretty blooms Jackie and Debra. I like that last purple blizzard one Debra, should you get enough seeds to share I like a few to trade.

I only had a few blooms today, still blooming with defects.
A NOID.

Just some no ID speckles resulting from my experimental crosses I did. These pictures are from the other morning. They don`t need a name. Speckled Cutie is fine with me. :)

Edited: To clarify the pictures were Taken a few days ago. I did the original cross last year.

Helena, love the Asuka shibori.
Karen pretty speckled blooms.
I love this China Doll

Debra - I have to agree that your Purple Blizzard bloom is wonderful!

Helena - I really like your Asuka shibori! Very pretty!

Karen - Your Speckled Cuties are amazing! You do create some beauties!!!

Jackie - Beautiful China Doll!!! I grew one this year and it must have been stunted for some reason. I think I only got about 6-7 blooms on it before it died. Not sure what I did wrong. The blooms were quite large, but the vine itself was rather puny.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Jackie - Love your Blue Silk at the beginning of this thread! I think that cultivar is a classic and elegant JMG!

Sarah - LOL! about your name for the DFNM, "Blue Sugarbritches." ! :-)

James - Another nice photo of Pink Flaked! Have you grown the Purple Flaked I. purpurea, yet? If not, I have seeds of that one that I can share with you! :-)

I know y'all are probably getting tired of seeing the same old, same old from me. But just have to post a few I got on Sunday that I hadn't posted yet. ;-)

Mauve Splash or a Mauve Blizzard showing the blizzard pattern. Most of the blooms are a star pattern or an almost solid mauve color, but every now and again, the vine will throw one of these!

This is one of my two NOID white blooming JMG vines. There is something to be said about white blooms against green leaves and a blue sky! :-)

Sazanami blooms! Still no pollen in these blooms ... so am crossing with the white blooms above. Which may create something quite interesting ... We shall see next year!

And last ... Sarah's "Blue Sugarbritches" is now producing blooms with much more white margins and spokes. It is doing exactly what the Mother vine did. This vine is an F1 from my earlier in the season vine. :-)

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

The blue silk is really beautiful, both vines had new blooms this am, just like i posted earlier.. I planted this seed it was from a packet ( old packet) labled third generation cherokee mg.. the bloom was so tiny I had to use a magnify glass to see it.. you all know I am loosing my site, and my glasses are very very strong.. and I still could not see this little tiny white flower.. here it is in zoom with my camera eyes, a little fuzzy..
