Have a great wedding, Celeste!
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 53
that is cold celeste - we did not have a frost here - i picked every tomato last night that had a hint of red to them just in case
oh that's right! hope the couple have a great day!!
hope it's a great day!!!!!! enjoy it!!!!!
best of times for them
happy wedding! I loved 'snow apples' when I was a kid. It is a variety with a French name which I can't remember. sometimes see it advertized in an heirloom variety listing.
Sorry to shanghi the thread like this but Robindogs Gravens made me remember.
Many of the varieties are left off of the commercial growers because they dont harvest and travel well.
I just bought 20 Ounces and will make Apple Crisp.
Happy wedding, Celeste. No hint of frost here yet. 60 and raining.
Cheers to the the happy couple! In the 30's here this morning, now in the 50's---no frost---dahlias still look pretty nice. Thanks for the list Jo Ann---I think Snow Apple & Fameuse are the same, Iris. An heirloom I've only eaten twice would be winter banana---I really love that one, but very hard to find.
Now up to 55. Feels cooler than that temp. Rain predicted for tomorrow.
Blessings to the happy couple!
low was 57, pretty much cloudy all day and breezy
Rain tomorrow :(
59 now... raining... going up to 68
Wet!
Raining today and 48° , yesterday was sunny and 60.
Thank you all for the wonderful Wedding Day wishes, they were most appreciated!!
I am exhausted from the wedding yesterday, today it will be movies and lots of cat-naps. ^_^
Here's Isabella on her mother & fathers big day. Better known as
'Bella-boo" as big sister Oryanna would say.
Great to hear, Celeste. I also had a great time at my family picnic. Sadly, one of my aunts is nearing the end. My mom and her sisters went to visit her. She only weighs 60 pounds. But she is 87, so she did live a nice life and lived longer than anyone else in the 15 child family.
Rainy and 64.
Rain, heavy at times, 65°.
Adorable shot of Isabella, Celeste! Sure did think about you a lot on Saturday. Rest and just enjoy the memories today!
Victor - sorry to hear about your aunt's fading condition, but it is nice that she lived a good, long life. What a huge family! Also glad you enjoyed your family picnic!
Sounds like you need some rest today too!
We went down for a Yale football weekend with Hank's brother/sister-in-law, who is like a sister to me. Nice day for a game, but Yale lost in the last few minutes. Spent the weekend nights with my son, so it was a nice get-away. This rain we're having at home is just what the 40+ new plants from last Saturday needed!!! Great rainy day for us all to just tuck in and rest a bit!
Rainy and 65---good day to celebrate 3 birthdays here & chase those gkids around. Sorry about your aunt, Victor---I lost my parents' last sibling last year---he was 90, but his gkids sobbed at his funeral, & I know they miss him.
Boy, Marilyn - I'll bet you're a bit tired right now! That is so sweet that the grandkids cared so deeply for their Grandfather.
Thanks ladies.
LOVE Isabella's dress!!! How adorable!!!!!
Sorry to hear about your aunt, Victor. Is she at home?
Rainy morning, then of course started raining just as I got to the grocery store and then again just as I got out to get pizza. figures....
Thanks, Jen. Yes, she is still at home. She is getting hospice care. My uncle is still going too - he is 88.
love Bella-Boo!!!
so sorry about your Aunt Victor
Prayers for her family, Victor. Hospice is wonderful.
Started out rainy, but cleared up nicely for the church picnic.
56 now going up to 73... says a heavy afternoon thunderstorm.... oh joy

56°, clear. Probably the warmest day of the week today here.
Peace be with your aunt and your family during this passage Victor.
65 and very windy. Having wind advisory for the county.
Thanks, all.
71 and mostly sunny. The experts were wrong again.
Very windy here too. high of 78- 75 right now
Ditto the wind----70, & sunny---what's not to like? Should be planting---instead another trip to doc for DH.
Cool! Show us the final product.
Very nice! Wow - lots of leaves down!
hey lousie that was a sneak photo!!
that was the trade off i made - find a stone and build that bench for louise and hank would let me pick out a nice large flat stone for a seat to lug home. Lots of them to choose from and i did find a perfect one! - any bigger and we would not have been able to get in the xterra - almost had a very nice large pick quatz rock too - that was until hank said "i collect them" shoot! :) - so i carried it out of the woods and we put it in one the garden beds (freindship?)
great day for rock hunting!!

Hey Bill - that doesn't look level!
that is what i said too :) - hank said he would take care of it later - only you would notice that!
Wow, Wha in action, cool!
The wind blew the clouds in, looks like rain any minute.
