Help! I got leaf footed bugs, and Stink bugs aka squash bugs

Gilmer, TX(Zone 7b)

First i noticed the squash bugs In july (they act like the other bug too) the squash bug attacked my squash and the squash produced but the fruit died off really fast. Then planted sunflowers to bring in the good bug "that's what I read any way" now I still have some stink bugs but the leaffooted bug is taking over. My watermelon is where I keep seeing the babies that look like big red funny ants. My sunflowers had bunches of them on them and now their going to my tomatoes.. But my questions are about the leaffooted: are these bugs causing my watermelon to turn to black on the ends?
Will the bugs, kill my tomatoes?
Next year should I plant my sunflowers way far away from my watermelons and tomatoes?
What should I do to prepare next year for both bugs.. really don't like posions since they cause me issues :) .
For now I been brushing them into bag and ..you know...

That was helpful. :) I think I'll got me a bucket put dawn in it pick them little suckers off my plants and get my kid to weed eat on the other side of the fence (Landlords crappy hay feild full of Bullnettle and goat weed). Do ya think if I spray with dawn dish soap it would help any? I was trying to remember the flowers my grandma planted close to her tomatoes it seemed to work great for her. thanks again.

More than likely your Grandmother used Marigolds as they seem to have some repellant properties. I do not see using dawn dish soap to be a problem. Good luck getting rid of these pests....plant vampires, really...wonder if garlic would help? Grin
