Can someone tell me the best way to collect Dantura seeds? How can you tell when they are ripe enough?
Best way to collect Dantura seeds
The spiky pods will start to turn brown as they ripen, When they are ripe, small cracks will appear in the pod. That is the time to remove them from the plant. If you wait after the cracks show, the pod will split open and spew seeds everywhere. You can attach a small bag (paper or plastic) over the pod when it turns brown to capture the seeds if you are not able to keep a close eye on them.
Whoops I meant Duranta seeds! ///This is beginner gardening right? :o)
see if this helps get you started...grin

Thanks moonhowl. Doesn't look too promising for collecting seeds and growning a plant from them but I'm gonna give it the old college try!
You are welcome...good luck.
