I've been wondering what's been pulling down my sunflowers. Looks like the squirrels are off the suspect list. Nitwit the Terrible has some explaining to do.
Garden pest caught in the act
Great name for your cat !!!
What is it with Siamese cats ? Mutze Specialkitty used to love to roll in the Marigolds and bite the blooms off and bat them around...grin
Busted Nitwit.
we watched him wrap his paws around the stalk then he does sort of a paw over paw thing to pull it down. When he gets it as far down as possible he let's it go fly back up which causes the flower heads to snap off. He must have been trying to make it up to me because he brought me half of a rabbit this morning and left it on the porch. Yuck!
What a precious gift! He must truly love you lol!
Gotta feed Mama....a small collection of bones etc found in the laundry room made me feel SO special...LOL
Spectacular picture.
Perhaps you can shame Nitwit The Terrible into improved garden behaviour by asking him whether he really wants to look like an idiot.
Babeegirl, now you know he was just trying to protect that sunflower from some evil lizard or other denizen of the garden...just ask him....grin
I'm sure, being a cat, he thought you planted that sunflower just for him!
Adorable.
Well of course she planted it just for him. Is there any other possibility?
I'm wondering if he saw a critter land on it at some point and was hoping to catch a treat. Smart cat to be able to pull it down and not try to climb it. Or maybe that was tried and other options had to be worked out.
Either way how very nice of him to bring you half a rabbit as a peace offering.
What a handsome kitty he is,even if he cant keep his paws where they
belong LOL
Christine
I cannot keep a bath tub plug in the house either. Ours doesn't hook onto a chain and as soon as I get a new one I see him zipping around holding it in his mouth by the ring. Somewhere he has a stash of about 6 or 7, I lost count. Now, I use the cap from the laundry soap as a drain plug lol.... Oh yes, he also likes to go "grocery shopping" in the cupboards. If it's in a plastic package or wrapper he filches it by opening the bottom of a cupboard door with his claws and dragging whatever he can get a hold of downstairs so he can beat it up. he's up to 5 loaves of bread, numerous ramen noodle packages, 1 huge bag of rice which was not fun to clean up let me tell ya, a package of starlight mints that he thought were really cool hockey pucks to bat into the sump pump and a pound of frozen hamburger that he drug down and hid behind my fabric stacker. We found that before it unthawed thank goodness. If I set out something frozen to thaw out I now put a big pot over it with a brick on top. We had to put childproof locks on the cupboards too :)

LOL! Now that cat is TROUBLE!
LOL ! Frozen hamburger yet...
too cute, gotta love em.
I'm just finding out the sneaky intelligence of the cat species with my first kitten. She brought me a mouse. She does not like the outside. Dogs are objects to attack when they least expect it. She can instantly smell a cat treat when the jar lid is opened.
And she is s-o-o-o-o very loving.
Kitties have a way of making you love them...otherwise you'd wind up wringing their little necks....grin
Maybe the cat is retarted and doesn't know how to climb.
OMG Jim! Well...that's a though I suppose...
Always go for the obvious. Why would a cat pull down a tree? He doesn't know how to climb.
LOL!!!!
sounds like my cats, except now i have an evil blood thirsty chupacabra that thinks marigolds are to be chewed and the petunias are her bed, and ANYTHING in a pot is to be destroyed so momma doesn't have to fiddle with it, so I'll have more time to play with her!
Aaaaaahhhhh! This makes sense. Chupacabra sees mom spending MUCH more time on those plants than with her...chupacabra has an incredible light bulb come on over her head...hmmmmm....
exactly...that and she's teething and from what the vet told me someone has seriously lied about this puppy's age somewhere along the way!
Have you seen my Chupacabra?
I believe so, tiny little white and tan girl right? Very cute. Never hurts to post more though :) Maybe you can get your evil shot after you take her to the vet.
Teething dog yikes! That sounds dangerous.
She must be really young. I got my puppy when he was approx. 6-8weeks so no teething. How old does your vet think she is?
vets thinking 2 months maybe 2 1/2 judging from her teeth...which would mean someone gave that dog to my grandmother at barely 3 weeks old(and that's stretching it). She hasn't lost one single baby tooth in her head yet! no wonder the little thing can't stand it when I leave! Even when everyone else is home, they say if I have to leave she lays in front of the door and cries until she makes herself sick!
I haven't seen her Trina, can you post a pic?
she's too darned cute. Alpha dogs, though. Make sure she knows who's boss!
oh she's absolutely my baby...she's only brave when she's in my lap! Had her first vet appointment today
she's a sweetie, will she get much bigger than that?
Nope that's as big as she gets...likes to be in the marigolds!
oh my a tounge sticker outer. i have a cat that does that hehe
oh yeah but usually its sharp little baby puppy teeth in attack mode with her!
oh my i have an attack cat claws bared full sets. leg getter we wear pants alot. hehe but ya gotta love them
