does anyone have a clue where this plant could be purchased online? also known as silver dollar plant, or money tree. i found tons of places to buy seeds from, but i understand they don't produce the seed pods the first year, so i was hoping to purchase actual plants instead of seeds
if anyone knows, you're a GEM!!!!
lunaria plants
Plant Scout says that Big Dipper Farms carries it--it appears to not be in stock right now, but you might check back there every so often to see if they get some in. http://davesgarden.com/products/ps/go/794/ You might also look through the people who list it available for trade--several in there list plants so you might dmail them and see if they still have some available. http://davesgarden.com/community/trading/search.php?search_text=PFPID:794 You might ask around at some of your local nurseries too, they might be able to get it in for you if they don't already carry it.
Also, as you're looking for it, watch out what common names you look for it under--"money tree" is usually used to refer to something completely different (Pachira aquatica), so make sure you're getting "money plant" not "money tree". (look for the Latin name Lunaria annua to make sure you're getting what you want)
thanks, i had already noticed the big dipper farms, but i did send a message to one of the people willing to trade-hopefully if will happen. i appreciate your taking the time to respond!
